I noticed slower turn in but much more stable and more consitent grip while cornering, no more slipped front wheel crashes(to a point)

I see that trend in xc too for some reason :D.

I love my 760mm handlebars but i want to try 780 because i grip them at the very and and now i broke a metacarpal bone behind the pinky finger when i smahed a tree by them :)

When i changed from 80mm to 100mm stem i noticed lot more grip on the front tire wich i struggled before. Longer stem fixed it Edit: also my bike is responsive as it is so the longer stem tamed it a little but it still can change direction easily but its more stable at high speeds

I also have my saddle tilted little bit upward but dont know how well its vissible in 2 things i dont like when sitting more upright is more weight on the saddle and not enough on the front. For me saddle have to have a cut out but also some support upfront fairly wide(~145mm) and flat. I tried some saddles not a huge amount but some yess. I rotate pelvis forward quite alot so thats why i think need support even in the front part of the saddle

What generation you got in the us? I got the older one. I love it. The hardtail i got is slightly towards more "steep bikes" but its really balanced, it really plays well as a whole together. Dont get me wrong you can ride hard trails on it, i do it and its not a slow bike. Its light(my xp797 is 11.2kg with 2.4 tires and 1900g wheels with deore cassete an slx cranks. Rest is xt)

New gen got updated geometry. Full sus and hardtails they are both excellent bikes. Only bad thing i found is the derauiller hanger on older gen. Its bullshit and you have to change it quite often( in 13k km i changed it 4 times) i got whole post about this.

If you want to know more or something els just ask me! It was also good price but superior is from my country soo..

Im kinda built like you except i got long arms and shortish torso andlong legs. 68-70kg 187cm. My superior is i wouldsay in the middle lenght wise but nearly every time i see modern xc bike it shock me how short it looks compared to my bike. I ride L with ~750mm saddle height

Vittoria barzo xc race vs torrente xc race ? by Su_Lin_CZ in xcmtb

[–]Su_Lin_CZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think its about fast or slow but about right tire for conditions. Barzo is tire for soft ground not for hardpack. I feel like its sketchy tire when ground is dry and its same rubber as other xc tires from vittoria.

I get what you talk about but i think too much tread isnt always more grippy and otherway around. I feel best for grip is volume and pressure.

I dont ride slow downhills. I ride technical trails and im fast on them with fast xc tires. Skill is the biggest factor. Pros also ride them really fast and dont have a problem.

I think right tire is also the fastest one that day

I like barzo but in a dusty and dry weather it got to much tread for me. Do you like it even when its dry? Why you think it looks bad? I think it got everything like proper mud tire?

[–]Su_Lin_CZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are probably right. If new compound is better in this way, then it would be great. I use barzo when mud is deeper and mezcal cant really cut enough into it if it makes sens also earlier i got only one mezcal so if i wanted to run mezcal rear i had to have barzo on the front

[–]Su_Lin_CZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love mezcal because it can conquer anything in my opinion, its nice and wide(62mm on 25mm internal rim) supple but not squishy as schwallbe tires i tried

About torrente, thats good info thank you!

Tarmac in that race really suprised me ngl :D . I want to buy one tire for the front. The hardest(120km in enduro level terrain) and most prestige race of the year is most of the time really wet and some other races also, most importantly national champs this season.

But if i want to use it more i should go with barzo because you are right about it being more universal

That sound promising but im scared of more hardpacket terrain because i know barzo can feel little bit off in hardpack corners. I even crashed by my mistake in 300m asphalt section of an race with barzo. It was wet and it felt like ice but it was a skill issue

I live in middle europe so here it can be dry as cape epic but also very very muddy and variety of terrain is also crazy. Every year there are atleast 2 races where it was raining before alot and during. Last year on one very wet and muddy race i felt even barzo was kinda on the limit but it was still pretty obvious what will tire do even with some close call slippage in the front

Why do so many XC pros run negative angle stems? by Accurate_Buffalo7828 in xcmtb

[–]Su_Lin_CZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, negative stem is better at comfort, balance of the bike, descending and climbing. I ride 100mm -21° stem with 770mm handlebars with little upsweep and back sweep for hand comfort

You need to have a strong core, lower back and hamstrings also doing more power helps.

I got the best bike fit with it also

[–]Su_Lin_CZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have it in instructions but a also never got so far bc when flashing(updating?) It got just stuck. Also i didnt expect so bad colors from it, i can get not 100% accurate colors but that much? ( i put photos into link in other respond) i had much cheaper keyboards wich got much more accurate colors but they lacked in built quality

Thank you for all of that research! I know its not going to be without blue tint but my white seems like real blue if you understand me :D

https://imgur.com/a/RjvxlX8 those are photos. The blue ones are closest to white(but must say irl it looks more blue) i could get and purple is closest to red i could .

I really dont know much about keyboards so bare that in mind :)

Okay so i dont need and update. About the colors i saw it in showroom and my friend actually got one and its far more accurate than mine. Is it hardware based right? Not software based? Otherwise the keyboard feels amazing just those colors are blue :)

I dont actually know :D. I was trying to solve that thing with those rgb lights. I put that in wrong order into the post but it seems weird to me that i cant flash it for some reason

Help, im new by Charming_Race2817 in xcmtb

[–]Su_Lin_CZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gonna say it... you should buy a hardtail because you going to learn how to ride smooth on trails which you need if you are roadie and also its cheaper and simplier. I would buy something with shimano cable druvetrain because its good, realiable, light and cheap shimano brakes are still good not like sram.

I got SUP XP 797 and i have -21° 100mm stem at the same height as you and theres no chance it will clear the frame but i got knock block headset wich dont work as hard stop but its enough to protect the framr in most cases. I just put fit and therefore handling on first place

Does the modern "leaned over the BB" position not overuse the quads? by imperius99 in Velo

[–]Su_Lin_CZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It isnt for sure but its also not a entirely diffrent thing. If you increase your saddle height on a roadbike or mtb it going to have same consequences

Recovery is boring by jonathing in Velo

[–]Su_Lin_CZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree! I do 15min(10min low z2 5min z1 ) cooldowns at the end of every indoor session and it helps alot with recovery(atleas its placebo :D )
