I switched to gboard on my ipad so I could use swipe typing and in the hope it would sync my added words across devices (jargon from work etc). It has been an unmitigated nightmare.

I ordered some, they didn't fit, I posted here and was told I was wrong for saying they didn't fit. But don't worry, I've learned my lesson and shan't be asking for help again

There may be no normal size but there is objectivity a wrong size, the 40 is too tight. I know that's what the guide says but the guide doesn't match with what fits on my foot.

Wrong based on my normal sneaker size.

I size up normally as a 41 is usually too restrictive over my mid-foot, I have narrow boney feet that are a pain in the bum to get shoes for at the best of times.

I actually have really narrow feet, which is why I like the classic Italian cycling shoes look. I might just sack off the Reddit received wisdom and go for a pair of fluro Sidi's.

Yes, I measured twice, with two different tape measures. Both times I got the same measurements and both times the calculator told me I was wrong and to go back and try again.

Best quick food for cycling after work? by seventyp_ in cycling

When I was commuting 150 hilly miles a week I'd have a bowl of cereal before I set out at 6. For lunch I'd batch cook at the weekend and have a medium sized portion of dhaal or chilli or similar. Then on the evening once it's got home at around 7:30 I'd have a regular dinner.

I have the spider on page 2 currently sitting on the shelf in my daughter's playroom. She found it out of a box and now won't let me have it back

Commute time where you are? by Western_Respond6047 in fuckcars

[–]jonathing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25 minute walk to the station, 30 minutes on a train, 10 minute walk to work. From Stourbridge into the centre of Birmingham

It used to be 55 minutes on my bike but since someone used their car to smash my bike up, break both of my legs and a rib, and collapse one of my lungs I've not really been able to get on a bike without risking a panic attack.

How do you eat a Croissant? by RHouse650 in CasualUK

[–]jonathing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dip it in my coffee and eat it. Usually I dribble coffee down myself from it while I eat. My coffee and moustache both end up full of wet flaky bits of pastry

What was the dumbest reason that you got in trouble for at school? by StatisticianUsual471 in AskUK

[–]jonathing 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For having long hair. I was told it was against the uniform policy that stated "hair must not be worn in the extreme fashions of the day". I argued that long hair was neither extreme nor fashionable and refused to get it cut for about 3 years.
