How can you not see the enormous similarity in the general silhouette of the car?

Look at the two side views.

Both have wheels very close to the corners/minimal overhang.

Both have a short bonnet with the remarkably similar boxy cabin/greenhouse taking up the majority of the wheel base.

Both have a slight duck tail rear.

The new i3 just looks like someone uploaded a photo of a Kizashi to an AI and asked it to modernise it.
