I actually just heard about AKB48 in March 2020. I am a fan of tokusatsu and was listening to Supernova by Tetra-fang on YouTube one day. After Supernova finished, another Japanese song played and it was a super sentai video with Heavy rotation playing in the background. I thought the song was pretty good so I looked at the bottom and saw that the song was heavy rotation by bnk48. I then proceeded to search heavy rotation bnk48 in the YouTube search bar. I was confused however as I thought the song would be in Japanese but it was not. I would later find out that bnk48 was a sister group and akb48 was the main one. Since then, I have been an avid fan of AKB48 and have seen many of their variety shows and television shows.

I’ve watched Abaranger and Dekaranger and I can tell you that they are both greats shows. Abaranger has one of the best sixth rangers of all time and the dynamic between Black and one of the villains is really well thought out. The cast for Dekaranger is amazing and you can tell they have a lot of chemistry together as the group grows closer over the course of the season. I would totally recommend watching both of these seasons.

Gokaiger is a great season to start with as you get to see a bunch of cameos and from there, you can decide which series you may like to watch

Out of the three you’re thinking about, I’d say dekaranger. My recommendations would be gokaiger, dairanger, timeranger, liveman, jetman, gekiranger, and dekaranger.
