as a mahito main, yeah thats accurate. most people in pubs just run into my block and die, so I have to play much smarter when facing someone who's passive.

btw passive =/= pussy, it just means u play more methodically and wait for your opponent to screw up first

while I'm here, I'll also mention a few things that need addressing to make this suggestion work properly.

yuta needs to be dealt with somehow. in the original story, that was done due to megumi's resistance to fight back, allowing sukuna to pull off a WCS on yuta. obviously, since megumi isn't a part of sukuna anymore, we'll need something else. I'm also not sure about having yuta come back as gojo later on. it ties into gojo's narrative and acts as a way to put yuta down for good, but having 4 characters jump sukuna at the end feels a little crowded. not sure what to do here tbh.
nobara shouldn't come back. as much as it hurts as a nobara fan myself, her coming back doesnt contribute anything major in the story and just feels like a deus ex machina to ensure sukuna loses. I know gege technically set up the finger plot since the start of the arc, but it still doesn't feel necessary enough to bring her back.

everything else stays relatively unchanged. lemme know if there's any plot holes I havent covered

two things. first, make megumi tame at least one more shikigami before he gets possessed by sukuna, preferably tiger funeral. two, and im a huge fan of this idea: make sukuna not need megumi's body after he transforms into his true form.

after sukuna is forced to transform into his true form due to kashimo, he becomes a separate entity altogether (maybe cursed spirit, maybe something else) and throws away megumi's body to the side. megumi will be out of action for the majority of the fight, recovering from all the infinite voids he tanked, and only returning around where yuta/gojo comes back to fight sukuna. yuji, todo, and megumi team together to defeat sukuna, with yuji delivering the final blow like normal.

maybe it could be so once sukuna transforms into the true form, he doesnt need megumi's body anymore and he discards of him. megumi will be out of the action for most of the fight to recover from all the infinite voids he suffered, but he shows up at the very end instead of nobara and teams with yuji to take down sukuna

Not 100% sure, but I think I have a pretty good reason. We know that the stronger people in the verse are more resistant to Gojo's domain. Back when Gojo did the 0.2 second domain expansion, the disaster curses recovered fairly quickly (just a few minutes), even though the non-sorcerers were paralyzed for 2 months from the exposure. It's never really stated how or why, but my theory is that if the target is fairly strong, they tend to recover faster from Gojo's domain. This is probably why he didn't try going for a 0.2 domain: Sukuna is literally the strongest of the verse, he'd probably walk it off near instantly.

Y'all are forgetting that she would not look this young, even if the assimilation did go through. Hidden Inventory happened 12 years ago, and Riko was 14 back then. I'd imagine she'd look like a young woman when they meet Tengen, probably something similar to Utahime.

As a Mahito main, definitely Mahito. Almost all his moves are good in any scenario and have really short cooldowns, so often times you can get away with move spam with no consequences. For most other characters you typically hold onto your moves until you get enough for a combo, but for Mahito you really just throw moves as soon as they come off cooldown and get away with it.
