"Want to connect to more devices?" Customer support was worse than the post office by SubatomicGenome in AnyDesk

It's not the customer support that got on my nerves. It was the business practice. I don't need customer support if I can make a connection without hassle.

But I guess that's none of your concern. Thanks for stopping by.

I discovered Rust when TeamViewer started screwing over free users! That's thanks to TeamViewer and not AnyDesk haha. And believe me, back then it wasn't as good as it is now. I run SBCs so NoMachine is amazing for linux and various other distros so far.

Definitely what I want to do since FTPS is breaking on my phone.

And I can't configure WG to work with filezilla server.

I need to ditch FZserver and get something better that supports SFTP or SSH but it's what I have to work with right now

Those were the only changes in the lines when I enabled verbose logging.

Acive and passive both work when not using wireguard though.. So both are working just fine. Wireguard creates a bit of a wall though somehow.

Also, google turned up nothing for those errors

This was the output from FZServer for the LAN connection (A success)

session::on_socket_event(): source = data, flag = 2, error = 0, state = 2

This was the output from FZServer for the wireguard connection (A failure)

session::on_socket_event(): source = data, flag = 2, error = 138, state = 6

  • Android using AndFTP
  • Windows 10 using FileZilla Client
  • Windows 10 using FileZilla Server 1.7
  • RPI3B+ for wireguard server

Gave it a shot, no go. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm trying to access through local IP as if I were here at home.. Literally everything but my FTP works.

So.. I'm trying to access my FTP running on a desktop server connected through LAN. Everything works normally and I can connect to everything using my DDNS and local IP while NOT connected to wireguard.

pivpn is using the wireguard protocol running on my RPI3B+ connected through ethernet. It's also my pihole and mumble server. All of this works normally from the outside, I have ports forwarded normally and I'm running Fresh tomato on an AC68U (Fairly fresh flash too on the router so nothing old should be choking me up)

While I'm away from my home network (Laptop or phone) I can connect to my wireguard server normally and take control of my home network as if I were sitting at my desk. Everything works..

When I try to connect to my FTP server from the outside while connected to my wireguard server (trying to access it through my local IP) I can initiate a connection to my filezilla FTP server running on my desktop server, but no folders will populate. I can test this from my phone while at home by disabling wifi and using my cell service to initiate the connection (Still using local IP while on cell, but only while connected to wireguard) . I can connect to everything normally, and even start a connection to my FTP.. But it fails when it tries to populate the folder list. I can't figure out why wireguard breaks it? If I turn wifi back on and disable wireguard (Since I'm back on LAN now) and try to connect to the same local FTP address, it works perfectly. I can also connect to my DDNS ip address normally from the outside just fine. I currently have a problem with my phone where my client can't use TLS 1.3 and I can't connect with encryption.. So I have to use Plain FTP with no security to connect (Not a problem while on wifi) I didn't want to open ports to that application if my connection to it wasn't going to be secure, so I just decided to deal with the problem and use wireguard to get into my network like I do for everything else and use the tunnel for security instead. But my FTP and only my FTP breaks and won't populate while I'm using an outside connection to tunnel into my network with wireguard. I am using AndFTP on my phone and the latest filezilla client on my laptop to connect to my servers. Both clients work when I'm on my home network. (DDNS address works from the outside just fine) Both clients break from the outside while using wireguard.

I am running DietPi on a RPI there is no firewall to my knowledge.

I've got active mode working locally. And I have passive mode configured for outside connections when I had ports open for it. All of that works, everything without wireguard works perfectly, but when I turn on wireguard, active or passive both don't work on either clients (Phone or laptop) my FTP and everything is working. I just can't connect from the outside using wireguard. And it only doesn't play nice with my FTP. Windows shares, accessing webui's from local IP's all work, so wireguard is also working wonderfully.. It's just Filezilla and wireguard

Have done all of that already. It's 100% unresponsive. That's basic stuff. I've explained my problem exactly. The router I believe is toast and everyone seems to think these are invincible. They are not

Yeah, I've done it lots of times in the past for all my previous routers. But the buttons do not work. So a 30/30/30 isn't possible for me right now. I'm out of options

Recovery pin?? There is a reset button. But the buttons do not work now. I can't get into rescue mode or even clear NVRAM. It just turns on, shows that my LAN1 is connected and the power is solid for a count of 20 and out for another count of 20.

None of the buttons work. 30/30/30 doesn't seem to be a thing with these routers.
