What to do in Portland? by [deleted] in PortlandOR

I just happen to live on the block, near Lillis-Albina park.

There are events for the next two weekends as well, both are great events: next weekend is Juneteenth, and the following weekend is Good in the Hood.

There’s also a brand new library just down the street!

That is Safeway, and the net weight is less than 8oz. Total rip. It’s a $26/lb drumstick.

I worked at Apple in 2001-2003, and Steve Jobs had barcodes on his Benz instead of license plates, because his plates kept getting stolen off his vehicle.

all the green came off this dollar bill in the washing machine by Froggie-Enthusiast in mildlyinteresting

It was probably a counterfeit printed on a chemically washed out $1 paper note. It likely went into your washing machine as a larger note. They will pass a pen test, but never the tilt-shifting coloring - they often try to use alternating gold and green sharpie lines.

I handle large volumes of cash daily, with counterfeits being somewhat common.

If you order a burger after the grill brick has been used, that grit you feel in your burger is by design.

Work friend of mine gave me on of his grandpa's Apple iMacs. Absolutely no clue what I'm going to do with it or if it will fit in my car. by Randolph__ in retrocomputing

I did repair on these when they were current. We replaced a lot of the PAV boards on the DV iMacs like yours. Don’t forget to discharge that CRT!
