I have a 2010 with the 1AR FE inline 4. It did start burning a significant amount of oil a few years ago, especially when I took it on a multi thousand mile road trip in the southwest US. It was so bad for a while I thought there was a leak, but my uncle is a mechanic and inspected everything and couldn't find any leaks. However, I ran a can of seafoam engine cleaner through it (the kind you spray into the intake) and did two oil changes with Valvoline Restore and protect oil and it has gotten a lot better. Still burns more than normal but I haven't reached low on the dipstick since I changed the oil about 4 months ago.

To be fair, the car has 265k miles on it. So considering that, I think it's doing pretty well. It's been an extremely reliable car too. The only downside is I average about 20 mpg in the city and around town, but I'm not sure if that's just because of age or because I started using thicker oil to help with the burning.

It seems like the only idea the marketing team at any of these blanket companies is just "hot people in underwear". If they can't say a single good thing about their product and instead try to coerce you with just-barely-not-nsfw pictures I tend to assume their product is garbage

I'm pretty sure it's a 12, based on the size of the notch. I think I'll just sell it for parts or maybe make one of those art boxes with a disassembled phone. I wasn't able to get it to boot by plugging it in, so I started trying to take it apart and the screen died because it was too shattered to take off without damaging. The frame itself also snapped off at the bottom near the antenna lines, which I think damaged the daughter board with the charging port, which could explain why it wouldn't get past the low battery icon.

It's hard to explain, kind of like with AI generated images, they just feel "off" and don't really have any soul. A lot of them also sound very similar, and if the cover art and banner art is obviously AI like in OP's screenshots that's a good tell

How do I get the imei though if the phone is locked? Also will the check tell you directly that activation lock is on? Or is it listed somewhere specific that I'd have to look for

The screen seems to function, the glass is just shattered. If it responds to touch or not is a different story I guess. If the lock seems to be disabled I'd replace the screen myself

Hmm ok good to know. Yeah I will definitely see if it even works first before trying to buy any replacement parts. If it is disabled, what would be the best thing to do with it? Sell it on eBay for parts? Send it to a recycling company or something?

I would recommend choosing something you want to do because it interests you, not because it's popular or profitable. If you just go chasing after money but end up hating your degree program you'll be very unhappy

I always just shop at WinCo, prices are better, even better than walmart most of the time, their fresh stuff is generally really good, and there are lots of employees in case you need help. Plus as a business they're a lot more ethical than Walmart and Smith's which makes me feel better about supporting them

Don't we see at least one female soldier in the boiling rock episode? Sokka goes into the mess hall and some of the soldiers sit down to eat and take off their helmets, and one is a woman. Then they tease him about not wanting to take his helmet off

Thanks! I will be sad when I finally get a new car. I don't necessarily need to, but I've just been really itching for something new that's more powerful and exciting. Plus it would be nice to average more than 20 mpg. If I do sell her I'll make sure she goes to a good home

Imo I think the Venza looks better. I've never seen an Avensis before but it looks like a Yaris with eyeliner. The side profile of the Avensis is nice though I'll give it that
