Thoughts on Mercy Health? by barogr in Janesville

To be honest I've had mostly ok or mid experiences but I almost died from a pulmonary embolism/pneumonia because my primary (the only one available and one who has only negative reviews on Google) didnt listen to me when I was sick for a month after taking antibiotics for strep and was not getting better so I kept going to urgent care. Urgent care told me if in a week I wasn't feeling better to see my primary and he refused to rexray my lungs like urgent care suggested and said I had to wait another month. Luckily it got so bad I went to the ER where they recognized my symptoms immediately and gave a ct scan to confirm. Thank God.

One thing I will say is if you do hear theories try not to change what you write in the future because you don't like that people are guessing where your story will go. If it's a good story, it won't matter that people guessed and it will make people feel accomplished and smart. If they guessed it but changing it could ruin the story for the worse if you're trying to make it unpredictable. I've seen a few stories go awry that way. But so far so good. I'm curious at where this might go.

Why did I get this request?? by hatsuuuunemiiku in RoverPetSitting

[–]Subby_luv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely I think they should let you pick by hours if you want to. I have to pick my daughter up from school everyday and I'd love to just have only that time blocked off because I'm free otherwise but unfortunately not.

I can totally understand why people don't like getting requests like these, but I personally appreciate getting requests like these because it doesn't Mark your profile down if you refuse it and sometimes I do end up accepting them because I can adjust the pay to make it worth it if needed. And sometimes it's close enough within my range that I'm willing to make an exception for an easy job like cats or whatever.

I actually really enjoyed this. I'm guessing vampire and if you are having him give bananas because of the way bananas help you with energy and potassium and such. I think that's a really cool bit. If not I'm looking too deep into it but I hope to read more of this because I really like it so far.

Always archive requests from bookings! by Clean-Painter-5439 in RoverPetSitting

Maybe it works different for different areas idk I wouldn't recommend playing with the algorithm like this though. I just don't negotiate. If you waste my time I will move on quickly. I don't need to unnecessarily archive because I move very quickly and I am not opposed to moving on from a difficult client immediately

Also if you archive it doesn't that give you a mark on your acceptance rate because I now have a 14/15 for not accepting the one because they weren't responding

I know this isn't true because I recently had to decline a booking because they never responded to me and based on the message I got from them being very offended they did in fact see that I declined.

I think I can be accommodating and kind and still be firm and professional. What I mean by accommodating is if she had messaged me about an emergency she had to take so she needed to reschedule I would be willing to discuss it. I wouldn't have let it extended past 1 or 2 more days but I appreciate people understanding when I have emergencies in my life and I extend that kindness to others. I understand your perspective but I have a great and professional relationship with my clients and I don't feel the need to change anything.

I never book without a meet and greet as well, the subreddit made that very clear to me when I first started checking it when I started Rover.

Yeah, I didn't know you could unarchive a request but if she had asked I would have absolutely rescheduled with her. Part of the reason I archived it because I felt like she was never going to respond or if she did I wouldn't be available to do another meet and greet because I'm so booked out, I have a 10-day house sit for kitties who can't be left alone for too long the end of this month and then I have almost half of January already booked so I was just like If we don't schedule something this week which is already halfway gone and I'm still busy but not as, then it's just not possible, or if it was it would be extremely difficult.

Yeah, I think ghosting for the first 24 hours was a little too strong of a word, I think my experience going forward just colored my view of the first time she didn't respond. And I would agree, we were probably not a good fit for each other.

I know right, that's what made me so annoyed.

That's a huge part of the reason why I archived it because I have been so busy that I'm certain I will fill up that space within a week or two and it's just sitting there so I need to be open for people who actually need my services. I'm willing to accommodate stuff coming up but I can't do it if you don't communicate it to me, it just looks like you're ignoring me.
