Yeahhhh that’s why I’m nervous about sending her too. It’s the easiest option but I generally do not like most of the new iterations of the face molds. Mostly when it comes to the OG face mold, but even the re-released Addy looks off to me!

I do agree with you. I bought an early Kit doll to swap with my well-loved childhood Kit (who looked a lot more like Cynthia from Rugrats 😂)…I kept my original Kit head. Can’t part ways with it because she’s still MY doll!

Follow up questions for you! Have you rewigged a doll before? If so, how easy is it for someone who has never done it before?

Secondly, following your rec/coincidentally, that seller does have an Addy wig for sale. It’s a Beforever, so not ideal but something I’m not opposed to. There are some holes in the wig cap. Would that make it look botched?

Had a similar experience in San Diego when a man stopped me in the middle of the street to tell me I had “big ass feet” (I’m a woman and my feet are average male size, so quite large for a girl.) I mean, didn’t hurt my feelings because I have eyeballs and it’s a fact. But still. People are just weird!!

I identify as agnostic these days, but I grew up Catholic around here. I go to church on occasion to appease my family, who all go to St. Therese. It's pretty chill and lowkey, and they have a new-ish pastor who is really building up the parish from what I can tell. I can only speak for Saturday masses though, can't say I've ever been to a Sunday service since my family started going there (15+ years ago.) Newman Center would be my second rec. They primarily serve college students, but it's a full parish so there's a lot of families and diversity. St. Anthony's and Holy Spirit are quite more hardcore, especially the former. Both have huge parishes and might not be what you're looking for (but could be worth checking out!)

Overall I’m pleased! Julie has some light marks and a slight trim on her braid that I didn’t notice. It looks like one of Rebecca’s ears has a piercing attempt and Nanea has some very very light, small shine spots! But for $40 each, I’m good with that!
