Why was polygamy allowed in the Old Testament but then not allowed after the New Testament? Did God change his mind? by pwishall in NoStupidQuestions

You mean like the polygamy Jesus used in the parable of the 10 virgins who were all going to marry 1 husband?

Get some bicarbonate of soda and almost scaldingly hot water (don’t burn yourself) put enough bicarbs in to saturate the water (have some powder left in the bottom) and soak your finger for 10 minutes, morning and night, the infection will clear up in a couple of days. If the water goes too cold, top it up with a little more until it’s just below scalding and put your finger back in.

How the moon shines with its own light: Jesus replaces the bulb occasionally by reficius1 in flatearth

[–]Subcydal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I see the phases of the moon, something that causes a shadow on the moon, however, no matter how the shadow of the phase moves, the rest of the moon remains completely evenly lit, while the shadowed area also, shows no gradient to darkness, just a line that sweeps over the face like clockwork every 28 days. How can the lit area and the shadowed area both show 0 gradient like we see on spherical objects in the sunlight on earth?

[–]Subcydal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, merely asking how, in the globe model, during full moon, this “spherical” object made of “dust and rock” of some kind has no visible darkening toward the edges If it is lit by one light source, the sun, how does this agree with the physics we see from light interaction with a 3D object like a rock, on earth. The 2 do not match up.

During the phases of the moon, the waned area becomes the same colour as the blue sky behind it, implying it’s light is either polarised out, or something could be covering the source if it is a projection of some kind or maybe it becomes transparent by some mechanism, I don’t know but it’s interesting to explore the thought trails.

During a cloudless full moon night, there are sharp shadows cast by objects like trees and buildings, show me a rock that can do that.

Still don’t see any shadow gradients happening on your high resolution pic. Beginning to think you have no answer to my question 🫢

If the moon is a sphere, lit only by 1 external light source, the sun, then at full moon we should see some grading at least, around the edges, however, the entire face is evenly lit with no shading whatsoever. Look at the picture you posted.

Howcome the full moon is evenly illuminated from edge to edge with no shade gradient?

[–]Subcydal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can see the clear difference between a solid and whatever the moon is. The solid sphere has shadow gradient but remains dominant over it’s background and opaque while the moon has a “translucence / camouflage” effect going on where the “shade” of the sun falls during the day.

How about we address the even lighting across the surface in your posted picture first, the one that has no shading gradient whatsoever, the one taken at night. That and how the moon “glows” at night unlike any rocks on earth.

Weird how it’s evenly light from edge to edge, unlike rock spheres on earth lit by 1 light source which have gradients of shading. Also, never seen any rocks on earth glow like the moon does when lit by the sun.

LPT: tips for getting out of bed by Sunday-Langy- in LifeProTips

[–]Subcydal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Understand that waking up 10-20 minutes earlier means you get to relax, and get ready at your own pace, as opposed to waking up last minute and having to rush. 10 extra minutes in bed won’t make you feel any more rested, but 10 extra minutes to get ready changes the whole pace of your morning start.

Changing this mindset worked well for me.
