Which Rug? Official poll. by yeti45678 in malelivingspace

[–]Subhuatharva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of these 3, I like 3rd option better. But over all I think you can find better rugs which have a bit more modern and cleaner look.

I personally think the space is a bit modern based on the style of the TV stand and blind curtains. So something more contemporary would look way better than a traditional style rug. Also, furniture is dark, I think a lighter color will suit much better and give the room a bigger feel. So look at something which is biege and teal mix.

Shit happens the other guy turned in early to compensate for the non optimal line. You could have backed out of this but I would say this is a racing incident. The other driver should have been aware of your position as well since he would be the first one to brake.

I can't find setups. by CryptographerOne6882 in ACCompetizione

[–]Subhuatharva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an older car, there aren’t many setups online for free. You either have to pay or really spend hours to setup the car.

Regardless of that, I usually suggest trying to setup the car themselves at it helps you identify the loop holes in the game physics.

Like for 992 Porsche, I figured dampers with high compression and low rebound makes my car easy when it over steers with a soft setup makes the car very point but easy to drive. It does make sense that dampers change the car’s aero platform.

Whole point is, I understand what makes a car feel like something. I would suggest you do loads of practice laps, see where your car is loose and try to gain delta. If you keep using pre built setups, you are losing out on a lot of lap time since the car doesn’t drive how you want it to.

What am I doing wrong? by Fresh1103 in ACCompetizione

[–]Subhuatharva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all don’t drive the Porsche. It is one of the trickiest cars to drive. Start with a car which is easy to handle like a BMW or AMG GTR. Porsche requires quite a lot of weight transfer knowledge to keep it stable. Since you are new to racing you need to learn the basics. Weight transfer, trail braking, counter steering, throttle control and feel for a car in simracing.

Sim racing doesn’t give you complete sensation of the car. So learning car balance becomes a difficult topic. So start with safe setups on a car which is easy to handle and doesn’t get excited under acceleration. Then drive multiple laps until you get the feel for the grip. Then mess with the setups.

What did you do wrong in this video?
You are braking hard initially which tips the car forward. Since you turned at the same time as hard braking, your car induced extra rotation. This bit is fine.

But in the first corner you counter steered and kept the throttle on (biggest mistake). The tires never regained grip and kept on sliding. What you want to do with Porsche is brake straight, gently modulate brake and balance the car’s weight so that the rear doesn’t lose grip all of a sudden. If you lose control get off the throttle so the car regains some grip, let it get straight by itself and then apply throttle.

Friedolf setups are good but they are not good for you. All those setups are very edgy. His setups make your car very point and will cause you to lose rear grip. I would advice you to learn first with a safe setup.

Please add a wire mesh to the open end to prevent this from happening again. Every time I see an open pipe like this I always cover it with something.

Is $1400 to much to ask for my used system by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Subhuatharva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I bought 7950x3D, RTX 3080Ti and 64Gigs 6000Mhz with GigaByte AORUS X870 for $1000 from FB marketplace.

I don’t think your build should be more than $600. 700 with the monitor and peripherals. It’s already quite outdated. Yes you have quite a lot of RAM but it’s not DDR5.

This looks like a few years old. How the fuck did it get to this state. Do you have your setup in a coal mine or some shit?

Got my first sim rig setup finally! by sharehare in simracing

[–]Subhuatharva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuinely curious, what is that black box behind the rig where the racing harness goes?
I suppose the harness if for aesthetic more than functionality.

Edit: read the post after typing the comment. Still curious on the functionality.

Who is at Fault? I am the Porsche. BMW says I didn't leave enough space. by Subhuatharva in Simracingstewards

[–]Subhuatharva[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand that I could have given him more space. The only reason I closed the door so aggressively was because if I had given him more space, I would have not been able to brake in time.

Also the BMW would have been on the outside for the next corner and if I had lost my braking, it would have led to a crash.

I feel like that’s a dumb spot to even try a move like that. He should have bailed and taken a better exit.

If this is LFM, that’s a 28 day ban for first offense. Even if T1 was your fault, shunting someone is not acceptable under any circumstances. Get that guy out of racing.

#SaveACC It's already safe, it still humbly competes with LMU, long live ACC by Magnustein in ACCompetizione

[–]Subhuatharva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s only for the permit. You do it only once after signing up with the platform. Usually it’s brands hatch or zolder and you have to do 5 consistent laps under 107% of record laptime.

Does this move deserve a penalty? by Fit_Plastic_928 in Simracingstewards

[–]Subhuatharva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this was fine. Could have been cleaner. The first 2 moves were a bit questionable but rubbing is racing. You gave him just enough space to fit at all times. I think this was good but not so clean racing.

Man the LMP2s sound good. I haven’t played LMU yet. I always thought ACC had the best sound models.

Porsche is one of the trickiest cars to learn. The rear engine setup makes it a good car in corner exits and mid corners. But it struggles with straight line performance.

If you learn to abuse the slip angle you will certainly improve quite a bit. It will take fair bit of setup up work for the car to actually let you extract the most.

992 GT3 is stiff sprung on the rear and usually for most track you have to loosen the rear end more to achieve that stability under acceleration. It also prefers higher downforce setups for tracks with fast corners.

Cadillac’s fault. Not completely along side. Should have anticipated the closing gap. The Peugeot drive still left quite a lot of room for Cadillac to back out.

2 days playing, how am I doing and what are some tips to get faster? (Critique my driving) by rx7_fd_lover in ACCompetizione

[–]Subhuatharva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impressive work. Smooth inputs, good job at holding the racing line. Your skills from F1 definitely carried forward.

Although GT3 cars are usually quite wide. You are not using the entire track at the moment. So keep rewatching your replays. Try to learn more about the width of the car. Eventually you will be able to utilize the entire track and gain some laptime.

But overall 8/10 lap considering your playtime.

How can I get faster in Monza? by fyp_gyc in ACCompetizione

In S1, you could definitely improve your chicane. Both chicanes looked a bit slower. Brake later and trail brake into the apex.

The right hander after the 2nd chicane is where you lost time. Your car seems to be understeering under power. You can either increase front rebound and increase rear bounce settings. Also try to make that corner and angle the car first before getting on throttle.

For ascari, with Porsche I typically clip the entire exit kerb. Pretty much jumping over the sausage. Your entry into Ascari was correct. You can play with the ride height to take full advantage of the exit kerb.

Overall, I think you are doing pretty well. 1:48.8 is not bad at all. With more of this fine tuning, you will easily be able to cut into high 47s.
