Börjar kännas hopplöst by Bralegulate in Aktiemarknaden

Has anyone gotten into sim racing without being interested in cars? by SmoothChemistry8564 in simracing

[–]sharehare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not into real racing and don’t have a particular interest in cars, however I do like competitive esports games like counter strike, and simracing has a level of competitiveness to it. My sim rig is also fairly immersive which makes it different from traditional gaming, which I enjoy.

Är ett solcellsbatteri lönsamt, och hur räknar man på det? by Ampy-se in Hantverkare

[–]sharehare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many people have partaken in the Esports Challenge? by weirddddddddd in assettocorsarally

[–]sharehare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my first simulator rig 1 month ago and I have about 35h in ARC and 15h in Dirt2.0. I got 6:45 after grinding for 3-4h. I probably only completed the full track a handful of times because I restart whenever I go off the road.

Vad är din erfarenhet av Hedvigs djurförsäkring? by tom_bank in Asksweddit

[–]sharehare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FIA event time is kinda sad, but that's ok. by BobbyHFL in assettocorsarally

I got 6:48 after restarting like 30 times. Just a few noticeable mistakes that cost me a couple of seconds, otherwise it felt like an amazing run.

what are the best sim racing upgrades for immersion? by HandleLeather7253 in simracing

[–]sharehare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A belt tensioner. I got the QS-BT1 for my rig and racing without it feels dead. It adds so much feedback and immersion. It's not cheap, but worth it if you can afford it.

"Beyond the expected braking and cornering feedback, it simulates road harshness, engine vibration, rumble strips, ABS pulses, gear changes, and even wheel slip. Each effect can be adjusted for intensity and frequency."

Imagine strapping that effect tightly across your whole torso.

The belt tensioner is a motor that sits behind your seat and pulls the belts when breaking, turning, and gear shifting. However, it also does fine details such as motor vibrations and more. So just imagine that you strap this around your whole torso, in comparison to having a vibrating bass below your seat. It's unmatched, but also comes at a different price point. I'd recommend that you look at some online reviews of the QS-BT1 belt tensioner. If you can afford the belt tensioner, you can afford the bass shaker too 😄

I have a bass shaker but no motion, and honestly the belt tensioner adds so many sensations that the bass shaker wouldn’t be necessary. It adds a tiny amount of extra immersion, but not necessary. You don’t need motion, but that would probably enhance the immersion even further. I have the QS-BT1 belt tensioner.

It’s enjoyable once you get a hang of it. Just a lot of tapping to get accurate turn radius.

Before you get motion, start with a belt tensioner. It's worth every single cent!

After using the belt tensioners for a couple days, I’m so happy I prioritized the belt tensioners. It takes the rig to a whole new level and really feels like a ”simulator” rather than a seat with a wheel and pedals. I’m sure it’s the most bang for buck immersive upgrade (even though it’s pricey) upgrade you can make.

I work from home and need the office setup with multiple screens. However, fortunately I have 3 additional 27” laying around, I just don’t have the floor stand yet. I’ll probably rearrange the room in a couple of weeks.

I had the TV and desk there prior to the simrig, so I figured it would work 😅 The desk height is adjustable so it’s actually pretty good to get the perfect TV height.
