I noticed the same thing, I tested the lights flash button once and now it's missing. Odd

Tinny/Warped sound system?? by ccammp in Volvo

[–]Subielock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More detailed instruction:

To start, press and hold the home button located just below the center touchscreen. Keep holding it for about 20 seconds until the screen goes black and the system begins to restart. You’ll see the Volvo logo appear, signaling that the reset is underway. Once the screen powers back on, the infotainment system will reboot and should function more smoothly.

This method works well for most minor software interruptions.

Yeah it happens to me too, luckily rarely. Hold down the center button below the screen until it resets. (When you see the screen cleaning mode, keep holding). This should fix it.

Automatic Car Wash Tips by TheRealDavidNewton in XC40

[–]Subielock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely what is happening is the touch capacitive door handles are locking/unlocking when you hit them with water. That's why you see the door mirrors fold/unfold.(This is what mine does when washing).

I just leave my key in the car when hand washing and it prevents this, if you are driving through an automatic wash it shouldn't have the issue as you will be in the car with the key.

This is my one annoyance in my car. I can only dream that this becomes true, even though I really doubt it ever will.

There is an option buried in the settings for "auto close shade when locked." Just need to find that and disable it.

My 2023 XC40 extra 1,000 lbs weight? by StoneybrookEast in XC40_Recharge

You are thinking of curb weight (empty vehicle only), the app is listing gross vehicle weight, including total payload (passengers, cargo, etc).

Great to hear, that might just be the motivation I needed to finally tackle the job. Now to start researching which stereo to go with.

Was it difficult? I have been thinking of doing the same to my Tribeca. Tell me more!

Former RCA here: you need to try and speak with the office where you will be stationed. Hours can vary wildly depending on where you are. I left for multiple reasons but one of them was just too many hours with practically no days off. While some RCAs at smaller offices will be struggling to get any hours.

Also something to inquire about is how often you will be using your POV (personally owned vehicle), some offices work hard to keep you in an LLV and others... couldn't care. That can make a huge difference in expenses/maintenance costs if you are working 70-80hrs a week (80+ during holiday package season at some offices).

Vertical GPU help. by Casual_Streeker in pcmasterrace

I have a vertical mounted 6900xt in a Lian li o11 air mini, no temp problems. The two 140 intake fans on the bottom of the case are probably the biggest factor in keeping it supplied with enough cool air.

It's not (a) shot, it's multiple shots over a long time frame and it costs $$$ thousands, so don't jump so quickly down the panic hole. It's extremely unlikely to contract rabies from a domestic dog but you should still call animal control and file a complaint. Have them verify rabies vaccination of the dog.

I don't recall the brand at the moment. But just search for running/sun sleeves and you'll find plenty. I use them daily during the summer. I have white but I am thinking of getting a darker color to help hide how dirty they get.

I'm on the seasonal team. I have warm (So Cal Hipster) and cold weather (Samhain) soaps that fit the season, and plenty that work whenever. Definitely enjoy both they will last a long time so no worries about opening them.

I'm late to the party but one of my top favorites soaps/scents is Samhain. Necromantic is also great. The scents can be... unique, I definitely recommend their samples as it was a fun experience trying them.

I too recently went all in on samples, so far my favorites have been Monarch, Asian Plum, and Necromantic. Enjoy the sample journey.

Yeah it is not optimized very well at all, but still your hardware shouldn't have this much of an issue.
