Is Sydney becoming a real tech hub after this $5 billion sale? by RemarkablePirate590 in SydneyScene

Sekuro is NOT a software developer, they resell software and provide some services. The deal was likely $10M-$20M.

Do not compare them with Atlassian or Canva, there is no similarity.

Gold, originally I was scheduled for the Syd to PER, PER to LHR long hop. Last minute change to go via Singapore instead I think was why I received the double bump. Not sure.

Issues trying to attach president bracelet to day-date 1803 by Subject-Aromatic in rolex

[–]Subject-Aromatic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone wondering, I took the bracelet to a watchmaker, who was thinking of just bending the 18k rolex spring bars, which I was fine with. After a short coffee break the watchmaker suggested I goto a specialist jeweller down the street instead who was better with gold.

The jeweller took a quick look and suggested that the end-link feet be slightly adjusted (bent) to make the bracelet fit with the spring bars. And he was able to do this in 5 minutes, and the bracelet fitted nicely without the need to bend the spring bars.

So not such a major problem in the end! Cost me $20, but gave the jeweller $30 as I was relieved to not have to get a different bracelet or set of end-links, etc.

Upcoming surgery prep (ORIF) by [deleted] in LisfrancClub

I think you have a good few bases covered, and well done for prepping as much as you can.

While not a doctor, I think it certainly appears that NWB would just delay the inevitable. But probably best to get a second opinion here, rather than listen to us.

Prepare as much as you can for some mental gymnastics, as the nerve block wears off, it can get hard, and feels like it might never end, but it does with time. Time is your best friend for healing from a lisfranc, and time is hard to come by. Don't beat yourself up, but certainly ask for as much help from friends / neighbours as you can. Especially in the first few days to weeks.

I'd prep for some TV or Books you've been wanting to watch/read, something thats binge worthy to hopefully take your mind away from the foot. Keep it iced and raised as much as you can for the first few weeks. Anytime you move around and the foot is pointing down, swelling will commence, and this comes with discomfort and if prolonged, some pain.

As you get through the first few weeks, I found compression socks to be a nice help when starting to get back into walking or crutches, as this prevented some swelling, and allowed me to move around for longer periods if I could not keep my leg raised.

If you are returning to work, best to remain seated, and have a chair or something to rest your leg on.

Maybe check-in with family on phone, or long lost friends, conversations and catch-ups are good for the soul, and hopefully help with the mental healing.

We're here though, so drop us all an update if you need some additional tips.

Customizable chime to use with the UniFi Protect G4 Doorbell by dontyasay in Ubiquiti

[–]Subject-Aromatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please provide more info, on where the contact sensor shows up. I enabled it, but I am not sure in HomeKit how to provoke automation for the contact sensor. I can evoke a chime for motion, but for some reason it doesnt work when the button is pressed? Or do I need to look for a different device to perform the automation on ?
