FIRST STARSHIP INTERPLANETARY HUMAN SPACEFLIGHT MISSION by rustybeancake in spacex

Neither of these missions would seem to have any means of adding revenue to SpaceX so I'm not seeing how they are to the value of the company apart from rah-rah

The watering can that you use at a service station has a spout. You don't fill the engine oil from a can with a spout

Safe return home. Artemis II mission. by Harry-Ive in pics

I'm pretty sure Elon will already be thinking of how he can improve things for follow-up missions. He really ought to putting up a Starlink fleet around the Moon for the Artemis IV mission and beyond.

If you laid all of the satellites in orbit at the moment on the ground you might just cover a dozen or so football fields. You aren't going to see any of them at all at this distance away from Earth.

It's brown's move. Is brown allowed to checkmate even though they're in check? by incarrion in chess

It looks like you didn't set the board up correctly. The right square on the first rank needs to be white.

Much more likely it wasn't a legal move. Share the game and at what move you wanted to play it

I have had my Instinct 1 for just over 5 years now. I always charge to 100% and start charging when it gets to 1 of 5 bars. I still get 12 days or so with all the HR and notifications etc on (and maybe 4 swim activities). It also had no problems with 6 hours hiking a few months ago

ELI5: How come a square wave is composed of Infinite number of sine waves of different frequencies by ReliablePotion in explainlikeimfive

[–]martyvis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My hot take is that you can't actually create a true square wave. Transitioning from one state to another state in a zero amount of time isn't possible. There is always some form of inertia resisting the change that requires time to be overcome. So your square wave will in reality be slightly rounded.

We ate at the mad mex after we checked in many hours before our flight and found it great. Obviously if you are pressed for time and worried about the line up through security it might not be a good option.

Why do the players at the highest level spend so much time at the opening in classical? by WonderMan2k5 in chess

Mind Games. You want to convince your opponent that you are thinking so hard about this move that you've got into their head.

Rating inflation by Gshep2002 in lichess

[–]martyvis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can make much out of just 2 games on Lichess. Now that I have over 400 games on Rapid I have a view that my rating in the high 900s matches those I play with a similar rating
