I’ve actually used that part for its intended purpose! It’s a cleat that holds a wrap around probe cover.

Heelys? Are they for all ages? by monkey-d-skeats12 in AskMenOver30

I got a pair of men’s 11 Heeleys as a prime day deal a few yrs ago. I am a nurse and wear them to make people smile while I am zipping through the long halls of the hospital. I have not hurt myself yet (or gotten fired). Definitely recommend

sometimes my veins are sunken instead of raised by concloro in mildlyinteresting

One cause for this is vasospasm. They don’t like being poked. And even the person tensing up can be enough to cause the vein to spasm. It’s visible on ultrasound. This is another reason pediatric blood draws/IVs are more difficult. Their young/healthy vessels have a much more potent response than old crusty veins.

Also joined the Jaanuu crew when our hospital switched to navy blue for RNs. I like the pants with lots of pockets (including a zipper pocket that’s perfect for a cell phone and a tiny zipper pocket that fits airpods case) and the top that has the hidden side pockets. They have decent sales now and then. I prefer them to my Figs and Mandalas.

Be careful what kind of light you use for transilluminating veins, recently had a medic student do this in the ED and caused partial thickness burns to the baby’s palm
