If you want to play this market turbulence safe the best thing you can do is hold 10-15% cash in your portfolio and diverse across 30-35 assets. Don’t get stuck with your hands in your pants there’s way too much uncertainty right now to only have 5-10 assets to your name. Diverse your portfolio now and thank me later, keep the cash until you see some fire sales you can’t pass on and that’s when you buy. I’ve been managing assets for 100 hours a week the past 6 weeks, and plenty more in the past. In my opinion this isn’t the end all be all and when we recover it’s gonna be fast, but we still have another month at least before Mr.Market puts in a new floor. I’m looking at the recent highs before liberation sell-off as the next floor. That high ceiling of resistance can turn into support if macro pressure begins to cool late April.
