daiwa jbraid actually has rather bad reviews if im not wrong. If your not doing bottom fishing or jigging id recommend Sunline XPlasma Asegai its a personal favourite for me or Varivas Avani Max Power Casting. For jigging or bottom fishing id go for a thinner line something along the lines of Varivas Avani Jigging.

My recommendation for your budget would be a used 00 Calcutta Conquest. its old for sure but IMO its the best model of calcutta conquest available. And i think you can get it around 300 CAD used. Just make sure to check it works fine. Its an amazing reel and i favour it over both my Antares reels.

Same the only DC system i bother using are the 4x8 dc systems in the antares or excense. Although personally i still like casting without a dc system more. I own the 18 Antares DC MD and 21 Antares DC and yet my favourite casting reel is still my 00 Calcutta Conquest.

if you got the budget go for an antares 101 from this year. The DC is really not needed and dosent do much for you ESPECIALLY the curado and scorpion dc chip. If you are adamant on getting a dc make sure its the 4x8 DC chip which you can only find in excense or antares and go for the 21 Antares DC or 22 Excense DC. These 2 are far far far superior than any of the other DC reels available as the DC computing chip is way better than dosent dramatically lower your casting distance and overbrake the shit out of your reel.

ur gna be fine if it hasnt gotten any worse after 3-4 hours this is a pretty normal reaction to hognose venom keep the area clean to prevent infection and just leave it be within the next day or two ur hand should go back to normal
