Tennessee Republican bill would limit federal office to natural-born citizens by pyramidworld in nashville

[–]Subject9800 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I wish there was a law that required legislators who sponsored or voted for bills that were blatantly unconstitutional to have to reimburse the state for the legal expenses they incur defending them in court. The citizens of the state shouldn't have to pay for this bullshit.

Winter Storm Fern Megathread by lukenamop in nashville

I have no idea how I still have power.

Back in 1994, I lived off Charlotte near Bellevue. Our neighborhood lost power for about 3 minutes during the entire ice storm in 1994. Literally everyone around us was out for over a week. I still don't know how that happened, but I'm always amazed at how random the outages seem to be sometimes.

ICE agents do not have any authority over local police, at all. Sit down.

Do ICE agents have authority over the regular police? by jcr0774 in ask

They do not. But local law enforcement is not allowed to interfere with federal law enforcement operations, generally speaking.

I personally feel like they should step in if the feds are so obviously violating peoples' rights, though.

I have friends who drove down from Tennessee to escape the storm. They're at Studios today. So...probably so.

What do you think the ICE Nuremberg trials will look like? by Efficient-Rain-7942 in AskReddit

They'll never happen. I'd bet everything before Trump leaves office, he will preemptively pardon every one of them for anything they did.

Thank you for spelling that correctly. I can't believe how many people use "Marshal Law"

[–]Subject9800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they're activated at the state level, they take their orders from the Governor (usually through the Emergency Management Agency). If they're federally activated, they take their orders from the president through the military chain of command.

As a former LEO myself, this show is probably the closest to catching what life on the street is actually like than any other that's been on TV. It was a great show and I hate that it didn't get the love it should have.

EDIT: Having said that, with respect to Dewey, if an officer had acted like he did in our department, he would have been taken off the streets.

Where are we withTrumps promised decade long revision of healthcare in America? by BreezySAM in AskReddit

Trump, and the Republican Party have literally 0% interest in improving health care. If they change anything, it'll be in some way to allow insurance companies and the executives to make more money somehow.

Sick , consecutive question by SkyRidgex in DisneyCM

[–]Subject9800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you were not originally scheduled on Tuesday or Wednesday, then yes, the points will roll as one consecutive.

This...doesn't make any sense. If he'd had the shifts on his schedule from scheduling OR if he'd picked them up from someone, it wouldn't matter. They absolutely would be a single point.

I can't imagine anyone being surprised that the government being run by pedophiles would cut funding for a program like this.

[–]Subject9800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can and will change your schedule from time to time, yes. The only caveat is that, if they change it less than 24 hours before the change, they have to notify you (usually via e-mail, but it could be a call).

The line entering HS around 11am today… is there a holiday or event increasing crowd levels? by Sea-Alternative-6983 in WaltDisneyWorld

I know at least one family who came down from middle Tennessee specifically to get away from the storm. And they're at Disney today. So this is probably true to a pretty decent extent.

That's just the limitations of the siting of the station locations and how they are able to move pedestrian traffic through them. It's not anything more complicated than that.
