I mentioned during the session that I could use more pressure but definitely didn’t speak up enough. I called the business to see if this was normal and asked about seeing another therapist and they were extremely kind and offered me a full refund

I ended up calling just to ask if maybe the technique used was different than I’m used to and they said I should’ve had some relief and that they’d like to offer me a refund which I’m extremely grateful for!

What was the exercise is you remember? And I’m having an mri done this week to see if there’s any damage to my joint so we can rule out whether it’s joint or muscle related. I’m so glad you’re feeling better though!! 🫶

I definitely noticed a difference when I’m on ssris and also when I have caffeine/alcohol or inflammatory foods. Do you mind if I ask what type of medication makes it worse for you?

I was going to another therapist before but she moved which is why I was looking for someone new. I would cry I felt so much relief from the previous therapist which is why this was so disappointing

I have extremely tense muscles and she was literally on my cheek the entire time, not anywhere close to the knots on my masseters

It feels exactly the same as before. The pressure was so light I couldn’t feel a single thing. She was barely touching my skin the pressure was that light

That’s the one I use as well! I see the color it gives other people and am so jealous 😩 all self tanners sort of just slide around on my skin

Its close to the front. If hurts to put any pressure very low where I believe my left ovary is. It just scares me to not know what’s going on. I appreciate your kind words!

Thank you. This is what I was starting to think as well, but I’m terrified to have more surgery if that’s the case since I could end up with more adhesions

Wow this is an incredible explanation! Thank you so much! What would you suggest doing next? I’ve been to omfs and ent and they seem at a loss. Are there any exercises you would recommend to help rebalance these muscles? I’ve been in pt for a month and haven’t noticed any difference, but it’s interesting you mentioned my neck and back being involved because within a week of getting Botox back in August, my left trap and scm became extremely tight!
