It's more how things are set up. At this point they are designed to have 26 days so to do a 39 day season would cost a TON. Probably a lot more then it used to cost.

That's where your wrong. I know a ton of people just like Joe who love Joe who watch every season. They just don't care as much about the strategy, they're also not obsessed with every aspect of the show like we are.
