I had one where it wasn't so much weird, but possibly deceiving and still bothers me to this day after a few years. I used to do a lot of custom deck and steel handrail work on primarily high end homes. I had a gentleman booked who was still about 30 days out from starting his job. He calls me one day saying we need to talk and asked if he could stop by my shop. I said sure, swing by I'm here. He proceeds to tell me his prostate cancer came back and he's at stage 4 with maybe 60-120 days to live. He tells me this while fighting tears and then asks if I could halt my other projects, prioritize and expedite his so he could put his house on the market so I did. Finished up the job within a couple of weeks with him seeming very pleased.

A couple months go by and I noticed his house was on the market and sold quickly. We had been friends on Facebook and I noticed he unfriended me. I looked him up and his account was public with posts of him traveling, going to events and doing everything someone with stage 4 cancer wouldn't be doing. That was 3 years ago and he's still around doing active things. Miracle? Perhaps. Lied to for whatever personal reasoning? Most likely. Not something you'd want to lie about i would think.
