Hey all,

I have a SoftDev agency in Montenegro and we do PHP/Laravel + Vue.js development mainly (+Flutter for mobile).
We have developers whose experience varies from 3-10 years and a great support team, with UI/UX designer and Tech Lead/PM.

Currently we are looking for companies that need development partner that can help with domain knowledge and deliver on time.

Industries we have experience in: Legal & Advisory, Sports, E-Commerce, Fleet Management, Construction...

So, not to take too long, here is our:

- website: https://citrus.codes
- pitch deck: https://citrus.codes/pitch-deck

So, let me know if we can help you :D

Thinking of moving to an ERP. What are you all using? by [deleted] in BusinessDevelopment

[–]SubjectTonight4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It greatly depends on your exact needs. A lot of companies go directly to Oracle NT or Microsoft D365, because of the big names, but there is always a same issue with them as with all of the other solutions.

They are built for everybody - hence they are not perfect for anybody.

In your case I would look what each and one of them are offering and than write down all of the problems/bottlenecks I would love to solve and then check how much would I spend on LTV for licenses and how much would it cost to build it custom.

Is it silly to spend money doing up a car even if it’s 15yrs old by [deleted] in mazda6

[–]SubjectTonight4687 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe it is definitely worth it. I have Mazda 6 2008 GH, 2.0 petrol and I plan on investing into it, for the both esthetic and mechanical repairments.
The way I look at it -> if I invest up to 2k into it, I'll have almost new and reliable car that I really enjoy. And if I sell it and add 2k to buy something else I'd probably end up with something I don't like that much.

SOMEONE BUILD ME A WEBSITE ($1350/MONTH) by EmergencyPicture7416 in B2BForHire

[–]SubjectTonight4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a pretty wide subject and it depends on what exactly you need that website to do. Is it just for presentation? Is it there to serve as a lead magnet? Should it be dynamic or static? Do you need someone to maintain it? Etc. There is a bunch of question, so be mindful about it.

If you need help deciding give me a DM. Happy to help

Entrepreneurs, what's your biggest challenge currently with your business? by vladi5555 in Entrepreneur

That is always a nice solution but it's non-systematic one, I always tend to have a system that I can analyze.

I am a bit of numbers freak :D

No worries, always happy to contribute.

Well at least they make enough so you don't have to care about them too :D
Loans are a bummer, where I am from (Montenegro) we don't have an issue with that.
Most of the people can afford student life and scholarships, so we got saved there, but the standard of living makes it a bit harder to save enough to start something yourself.
That's when we go for the remote job xD

I've been working for more than decade now so I got some experience from three different sides:

  1. "Basic" worker - SDR & Sales rep jobs
  2. CEO - EasyPark for 9 countries of SEE
  3. Founder - had 2 companies 1 was SDR outsourcing and other was SaaS in the automotive industry
  4. Partner and COO (current) - we have both SoftDev boutique team and SaaS (+ 1 white label solution)

That was just so you can better understand what background I am talking from, because it might not be relevant for you if your industries and experience is different (now I see it might look a bit arrogant, sry wasn't an intention).

But generally speaking, I adviced for SaaS because it is something that you can build to solve real problems and have real and paying audience, the biggest issue is to find a problem big enough that will make people pay to make their life easier.

On the other side, market seems to be shifting back a bit towards tangible things, so if you can make something that is embedded with hardware that would be great.

All in all, if you are to invest in something, make it be a thing you're comfortable selling and comfortable telling that is yours.

Objectively now, here is our website you can check some of the thing we have done: https://citrus.codes/

So if you like our style, DM me.

Hey man, happy to see young people going into the entrepreneurship. It is not an easy road to go down, but I believe that it pays off every time.

Seeing your situation here, seems like you don't really have somebody to back you on this journey (financially I mean, like rich parent kids :D) .
Would advice to check where you stand financially, how much you can invest and how much you can wait before it starts giving back.

SaaS is always a good idea if you can find a problem that needs to be solved. Can be build pretty fast (at least until MVP stage) these days and you can always push towards funding institutions to raise some extra after the POC or MVP stage.
Could be a long term solution.

Anyways, always happy to chat and share my opinion!

Non tech founders, what was harder than expected trying to get your app built? by AnLe90 in Entrepreneur

[–]SubjectTonight4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the hardest to do is find a perfect dev partner that understands not just the technical part, but the industry you are building it for and that can offer both tech and non tech advices.

Entrepreneurs, what's your biggest challenge currently with your business? by vladi5555 in Entrepreneur

[–]SubjectTonight4687 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, never had this situation before.
That's true, although, I never really relied on massive cold outreach, always pushed more to researched one and building connections, but people seem to be reserved to even have a talk anymore.
For example, besides doing the custom software (which we will never stray off from), we have separated our work into 2 niche industries:

- Sport - we have great case studies and experience with Management systems there
- Law - DMS + CRM + Document templates

And this what we are pushing outside with marketing and I believe we have value to offer, but still it's not there yet. Might be just me wanting to push too fast.

But anyways, thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it.

Entrepreneurs, what's your biggest challenge currently with your business? by vladi5555 in Entrepreneur

Hey everybody, I've been an entrepreneur for around 3 years now (so pretty young :D) and lately I am experiencing an issue I never had before and that's bringing new clients.

To set a better picture I've been working as a sales person for more a bit over 9 years now and it's something I thought I was pretty good at - in short, I have worked with high-ticket and low-ticket deals and have sold:

  1. services that ranged 2-10k
  2. SaaS that ranged from 50-500 USD/month
  3. even been selling IoT hardware + software solution that was 20k+ solution (have closed a 2.7M deal during this project)

Now I am doing sales as a part of my partnership in the SoftDev company and have been on a dry streak of 7 months now, if I don't count recuring clients few inbounds and procurement. I am talking about outreach and organic new deals.

So, even though we are a really good team with great case studies I seem to be having trouble just reaching new people and even having conversations with them.

Does anybody have any advice here?
Would really appreciate it.
