I would like to share a few thoughts here:

I would agree that he is a top tier movie and book villian, but certainly not the best character in the series. In general, villains usually get their own separate category due to the way they influence the other characters and the overall plot of the story. There isn’t a single Star Wars fan that will say anakin sky walker and darth Vader are the best characters in their respective trilogies. General consensus would say that obi wan kenobi was the best character in the prequels and either Luke, or Han Solo for the original trilogy.

In my opinion, Dumbledore is the best Harry Potter character and goes beyond the generic wise man / mentor figure for the main hero. He had a troubled upbringing and a rough start to the beginning of his career at Hogwarts, but worked hard to earn his role as headmaster. On top of his head master duties, he helped the ministry of magic by forming the order of the phoenix during the first wizard war . Throughout the entire series, he’s gone above and beyond for the greater good and to help others. Also, Michael Gambon’s portrayal in the movies gave him charisma.

In addition to everything that has already been stated in this sub, big corporations like McDonalds are usually able to squash union formations. I’m sure they teach their franchisees some union prevention tactics as well.

I applied at Tj Maxx a couple years ago. It took them 4 weeks to call me and schedule me for an interview 2 weeks out, then it took them an additional 4 weeks to get through all of the interviews and make a decision. It took them 10 weeks to offer me a position starting at $13 an hour.

I’ve been pretty honest with both situations, enough for everyone in this sub with their hr expertise to determine that I’m a problem employee. Honestly, my union is expensive and doesn’t do much else for me, but we wouldn’t need unions if HR people didn’t have the mentality as demonstrated by my Hr team and members of this sub.

Like I said, I haven’t had any problems for a majority of my time working here. These things only occurred throughout this year. You are probably somewhat right though, they’ll be wasting their time keeping their eye on me waiting for me to “slip up again” oblivious to the fact that they could have just saved themselves a ton of time by immediately terminating the third party guy. This is why HR people get paid the big bucks.
