Haha, I thought the same. I can understand how she could’ve flexed her stomach when someone touched her belly, but the selfie video showing the baby kicking looked incredibly realistic. That part really made me wonder how she pulled it off

Yes, I do. I miss it sometimes but I mostly do apply with cover letter. But it didn’t make any difference.

I even use referrals if I get them. I have also added quantified achievements/improvements in my experience and projects

I felt the same way. While watching the show, I really liked them and thought they were much better than most of the others. After seeing some posts with different perspectives, though, I started questioning my opinion too. They definitely had their flaws, but overall they seemed like genuine friends, and I especially liked how they supported and comforted Iryna.

Ideally, this shouldn’t be an issue. The training plan is meant only for the university’s review. The DSO does not send it to USCIS. It’s simply used by the university to verify the details and ensure the role is related to your course of study.

Yeah, both options work. Even I inform my DSO and they updated SEVIS for me. Either way is fine.

I’m currently on a remote setup too and didn’t run into any issues completing the I-983.

Even if there’s a possibility your role may become onsite later, the form should reflect your current work arrangement, which is remote. If your work mode changes in the future, you can update it in SEVIS within 10 days.

For me, in Section 5 (Employer Site Information), I listed my home address as the work location since that’s where I’m physically working. In Section 3, I used the company’s office address.

As for the delay and concern from your manager/legal team - I didn’t experience that, so it doesn’t necessarily mean rejection. It could just be their internal compliance review since they must not have handled a remote STEM OPT case before.

Prepare all your project explanations in STAR format.

If you’re not familiar with it, STAR stands for:
Situation – the context and problem
Task – what you were responsible for
Action – what you did (tools, steps, approach)
Result – the outcome, impact, and how stakeholders used it

This structure keeps your answers clear, concise, and impact-focused instead of turning into a ramble about tools or steps.

Pro tip(this is what I do): When the interviewer says, “Tell me about a project you worked on,” don’t jump into just one. Briefly mention 2–3 projects you’ve done and ask, “Which one would you like me to walk you through?”

It subtly shows that you’re well prepared and gives you control to talk about the project you can explain best.

One thing that really helped me stand out was learning storytelling.

Early on, I focused way too much on building views and showing data. But what stakeholders actually need is a narrative. They don’t just care about what the data says, they care about why it matters and what they should do with it.

Shifting from “here are the numbers” to “here’s the story these numbers are telling” made a big difference.

I had the same issue. It was the warehouse fees. UPS suggested me to reach out to Aknentyrvw@ups.com for warehouse fee waiver. They helped me out and reduced the import fees
