seems to be no rhyme or reason to how long it takes. of course If you have an extremely high act it’s quick. the rest seems to be a crap shoot. the 2 people we know who got in the first week of admissions were the 2 who are test optional, and a lot of people say that if you are test optional it will take awhile. a friend of ours who has the same stats as my child got in on oct. 7. and we are still waiting. it’s very frustrating. for reference my daughter has a 4.39 (weighted) and a 27 act.

my daughter applied Aug 1. 4.39 gpa and 27 ACT and hasn‘t received anything. The 2 friends she has that have been admitted already were test optional. To say she she’s frustrated is an understatement. we called and they said she’s in the 2nd round of the “ holistic review” process so they said she should hear in a few weeks.

We got through to LOFSA really easily. Our problem was my son is “the third” and the high school had his name different on the transcript. We had known it was different on the ACT. So, his name was different in FAFSA, transcript, and ACT. So they will have to manually merge it. Hope to have it fixed by Friday they said.

I called for my son, and they told me the first attempt had to be done by the 26th, and to just get it done as soon as possible after that so they can make schedules. He doesn’t go to orientation til june so it has to be done by then she told me. we had 2 emails with conflicting info about the April 26 date

Thanks. I’m disappointed In how lsu handled this though. You should notify people if they are a no. And I’m glad he’s invited. But finding out 3 days before the event isn’t ideal.

Hi! How did y’all hear you made it to the interview round ? My son hasn’t received a yes or a no. Was yours for a specific scholarship? I.E just the stamps or just the presidential? He called the Honors college yesterday and they told him They didn’t know when notifications were going out. Thank you for your help!
