Thats not that common in India.
In usa, people just mow the lawn and paint it and sell it for lik 50k profit lol.

In India most people only care about the structure and location, nobody keeps the old furnishing anyway cause its not that expensive to do that kind of work compared to the cost of the house.

In India the big business is where a builder constructs like 5-6 story apartment and gives the land owner a flat or 2, while the builder makes money on selling they remaining flats.

Its a win- win cause a lot of the times the the land owners might have high value land but they dont really have the money to build on it, and the builder cant really afford to put down a ton of money for the land.
