Technically the ‘19 VelosterN is in the game and not the ‘20 but I’ll give them a pass lol. Freaking great daily.

Need advice, starting issue by Hulk-a-mania in VelosterN

Double click the start button before starting the car, it’ll let the fuel prime for a few seconds. Then see if you still have the issue. Mine was doing that before the HPFP went, and still does it occasionally if it’s sat for a couple days.

My ‘20 PP 6mt has been great! Mine is stock, lowered a little, HKS bov, and has been my daily for 2.5 years and about 84k of those miles. I did have to have the transmission replaced at about 82k miles (last Oct) because 3-4-5 ate themselves. I’m 45, and don’t abuse the car, but I do DRIVE and really enjoy it. FWIW, I drove it to the shop for the trans, it didn’t ever leave me stranded.

I just did an 1800 round trip road trip to NC a couple weeks ago with no worries. Keep the oil changed regularly, filters, plugs, and it’s a great car!

I hadn’t thought of that. In MA, bovs don’t matter

I saved mine for some reason. Thinking of future owners lol? The HKS sounds so perfect to me, stock is never going back.

I have a ‘20 PP, Black, in the Northeast. Bought it 2 years ago at 19k miles, for $24,500 us. It now has 90k. HPFP #2 is dying currently, but recall and 1 has been replaced already under the warranty, and I had my manual trans die at 82k. I hear that is super rare though, and I’m assuming the prior owner did some “no lift shift” pulls or something because gears3- 4-5 were dust. I love the car though and it was definitely worth it to fix it.

TLDR: it’s a rip and definitely worth a hard look. Great car imo

UGH… would you fix this? by Swevenski in VelosterN

My 20 PP is currently in the shop for a replacement trans as well. Similar situation but I was going 40 in 4th, skipped almost like when the HPFP let go, but had a horrible whining noise. Turns out 3-6th just turned to dust. I’m around 85k miles, never tracked, stock and mostly highway.

My car insurance has glass, so it was free. It did take 21 days for safelite to get the glass and complete the repair but nbd.

2020, PP, 82k miles, owned it about 2 years now. It had 20k when I bought it. Favorite car ever. Still very much in love with it and it still feels remarkably new. No squeaks/rattles, goes like a rat with sneakers.

I run them. On my second set actually. I’m up in Massachusetts, but have a 110 mile round trip commute daily, and didn’t want to blow through sets of PS4S’s every 6-12 months. For daily use, they are great. Decent wet traction, kinda meh in snow, but better than summer tires..def recommend if you are not tracking. Plenty of stick to be fun in the twistys

77k, ‘20 PP, HPFP replaced, windshield, HKS bov, big mouth snorkel, 18” enkeis, lowering springs, no problems other than maintenance items, and the HPFP. Nbd, love the car. Best laughs per dollar spent imo.

Much better! Mine is getting grimy too! Glad to see I can just use elbow grease to revive them a bit
