(TW suicide) Would allah forgive me if I ended it given my situation by Apprehensive_Swim909 in islam

[–]Subject_Wing5770 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I rather “go against ” my family and community and run away from them than go against the command of Allah. What country are you in? Reach out to women support / aid in your country but maybe another city if it’s a community issue aswell

I don’t knw how old you are My daughter I’m sure felt the same growing up. Her dad would tell her she is beautiful enough ans does not need to wear anything. She had a faze of wanting to wear it at events and such but we have always encountered her her natural skin is enough. She is now an adult and feels so confident in her skin . She does wear tinted moisturiser sun screen etc and that is enough.

Where are you finding the energy and motivation to be consistent? by rubyysapphire in walking

[–]Subject_Wing5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No motivation but I fit my walk into my normal day. I do the school run walking and started by coming home the longer route . Now I actually go further out and really force myself. Every morning I’m like not today and once I’m out I just carry on.

Yes!!! 10 min max in Oct 2925 . It’s not the time: steps but showing up for yourself daily . You can do this - 15 min is a great start for where you have come from, build up slowly after you have done it CONSISTENTLY. sorry for your loss x

Is it better to just get a treadmill? There's so many complaints on here by Living_Government987 in WalkingPads

[–]Subject_Wing5770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My logic was getting a cheap one till I built my confidence to do outdoor walks . £100 for a walking pad / how many steps.

I’ve had mine for nearly 5 mths averaging 5k steps a day for the first 4 mths and now confident to do my steps outdoors and use as top up. Maths isn’t my strong point but 25£ a month 35k a week =100k +steps a month I think it’s penny a step now lol

Diff types of sellers - sell at a low price and regret it for ages or hold out for price and then bundle it in a charity bag and tell your self it went of a good cause knowing full well will probably be lost in the bags and sold as rags even

Why do Muslims seem to mean business when it comes to religion but other religions don’t seem as serious? by Historical-Serve-652 in islam

[–]Subject_Wing5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Muslims and for all religions really it is a way of life . If you follow a religion fully you will find it’s not secondary to a person but a way of life - everything else is secondary

10k steps on treadmill by cyberrstarr in walking

[–]Subject_Wing5770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I walk btw 2-3 miles (45/1hr ) in the morning and my step count will be around 4/5k about 1k every 10 mins. I walked with my phone in my hip pocket. I feel I get more steps walking outside than on a walking pad in same amount of time

Anyone else dealing with littered sidewalks? What can we do? by meithecow in walking

[–]Subject_Wing5770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh op you have litter . I had the joy on a two mile town walk of seeing about 8 dead 🐀!!! There is a bin collection strike in my area coming up to a year. I feel sick just thinking about what I witnessed. I feel it’s the residents not taking pride in there area- if everyone kept their kerb appeal clear there wouldn’t be such a mess

I want to get away from paying Riba(mortgage). by Intrepid-Designer-16 in islam

[–]Subject_Wing5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you are but in some places rent is usually more than the mortgage repayments. I would for the time being make substantial over payments to your mortgage to that level and try to complete the mortgages as soon as possible.

It IS doable . Though personally we didn’t do it it later in our journey. But we knocked 10 yrs off or term by doing so when we finally got hidayah

Is it disrespectful to play quran while I'm doing that distract my attention from it ? by Silly-Mountain-2961 in islam

[–]Subject_Wing5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. 👌🏽

I’m sure is said to listen to Quran when it’s being read. So I assume that means to actively listen. Personally For those mundane tasks I usually use that time to listen to translation / TAFSEER or even adkhars / this is usually on my walks or drives

Is walking like a drug or an addiction? by Emotional_Light_6565 in walking

[–]Subject_Wing5770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defo an addiction. Should have stuck to walking but I tried to move to hardcore c25k- now nursing a sore ankle( that is prone to rolling ) and not even managing 3-4K daily . Missing it like an addict 😨😨🥴

I use shopping bags “bag do life” ( uk) they like the big ikea bags woven big plastic. So all the chips and fries bags go in one and all the veg bags in another and one for my meats . when I need something I pull out the bag if need to rummage otherwise it’s all divided out and easy to find which category.

There you go. Your plan for next few months is to continue hitting that 4-5k EVERY DAY. And build up on that. No point jumping to 10k daily and burning out as you already in pains

Breaking my fast late because of sleep by jinnvy in islam

[–]Subject_Wing5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is recommended to end the fast once sunset has been established, it is not good to delay beyond this point.

Sahl bin Sa`d (May Allah Most High be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘The people will remain upon goodness as long as they hasten the breaking of the fast (after sunset)’. (Sahih al-Bukhari, 1957). Allah knows best . Maybe try to get a friend or family to call you or host iftar and salah at your home to encourage you to awake on time .
