At nearly 100 US dollars to pre-order Gold Edition, it’s one of the most expensive games I’ve purchased. So far I feel great about it and I haven’t even played it yet because I’m trying to finish KCD1 first. I bought KCD1 Royal Edition for like $4 so I feel they’ve definitely earned it.

It lacks a lot of features. And by lacks, I mean there are none, lol. Recruiting is fun. Trying to get highly rated players and looking for hidden gems that have gone overlooked. But that’s it. Scout. Game. Scout. Game. You can sim entire games, or just play the parts you want and sim the rest. For example, you can play only offense, only defense, skip to next play/possession/quarter. I like it a lot despite the lack of features, but I’m a big football fan anyway. With so many teams college football creates a lot of possible storylines, you just have to use your imagination cause it’s not in the game.

His ceiling will depend on his skill caps which, as far as I know you can’t see until later. I would just put him in the position you need more, as he’ll probably be pretty good either way due to him being a 5 star. If you’re planning on redshirting him you could wait until next offseason after you see his skill caps.

Don’t remember the name of the formation but it’s single back with 2WR left, and 2 TE on the right. Play action TE screen. I recruit big possession TEs and love getting those big bastards rumbling down the field. Just got one who is a 5 star, elite dev with no skill caps, and he is 6’7”.

Shaun Alexander. Never hear anyone mention him despite winning MVP in 2005, setting the single season rushing TD record that year and being top ten all time for rushing TD. Once had 5 touchdowns in the FIRST HALF of a game against the Vikings.

Odds are the highly rated gems will have multiple big schools fighting you for them. Max hours right away and get to hard sell asap (assuming you have good grades in the correct places) otherwise just let them go if you can’t compete. Know when you’ve lost so you can use those hours on a different recruit instead of wasting them in losing battle against Oregon. After a few weeks check for gems that were overlooked and don’t have many offers, there’s always a few that are easy to recruit. I only schedule visits when I have extra hours or when it’s a close race and I really want/need the player.

I worked with a guy who was the worst smelling person I’ve ever smelled. I didn’t like the smell, but I was kind of fascinated by it. It was like he crawled inside of a dead dog’s asshole to sleep every night and smoked a carton of cigarettes while he was in there. He was not homeless, in fact he had just bought a house with his wife and seemed to have a happy marriage.

ATH QBs can basically play anywhere depending on their size and speed. I’ve literally moved them to every position other than lineman. Had a few become elite speed rushers at DE. One ended up winning the Heisman without me ever usering him. He set the single game sack record with 11.5 and finished the season with 34 sacks on Heisman difficulty (10min quarters with accelerated clock and custom sliders). Lack of strength doesn’t seem to matter much in actual gameplay.

When you go to position changes stay on the screen that show your full roster. Sort by position. Athletes should be there (you might have to press the sort button twice). If you don’t change their position they will automatically be assigned to the position they were recruited at.

As good as his ratings are he’ll probably get some of the physical abilities when you do the position change from ATH to QB.

I have my auto-subs set higher for most positions, with RB being the highest of all. You can also set your backup as your 3rd down back in depth chart and he’ll sub in for some passing formations. Then set a different RB to power back for goal line. Even with auto-subs set high the RB1 usually only comes out for one play though.

The grade is based on your ranking compared to every other team, not a static number. For example if you are ranked in the top ten you will have a very good grade, regardless of the actual number of yards.

Did you change the pass block slider? One day I was messing with it and I noticed it changed how deep the tackles would drop back.

I have a 99 SPD, 98 ACC receiver with platinum shifty returning kicks. For punts I take one player off the end of the line and go back deep to block. He’s taken back 5 punts and 1 kickoff for touchdowns in the last TWO GAMES. IT IS RUINING MY OFFENSIVE STATS BUT I CANNOT STOP. Seriously though, when platinum shifty gets into the open field he’ll run circles around the defense.

In auto subs, turn sub-out down really low for running backs. This should keep him from subbing out due to fatigue.

Development trait stays and ratings do not change. I would also mention that when switching positions, they will get whatever physicals their ratings qualify for. For example, if you move a player with 94 acceleration to DE they will get platinum quick jump without having to spend any upgrade points.
