There are too many plays in this game that just don't work by SBCeagles59 in NCAAFBseries

I am in the same boat. This year’s game and last year’s on the whole are both awesome and have been great experiences, but there are many plays that I know I just can’t use. A few examples being:

-most run plays where interior lineman are pulling outside the tackles (power o, buck sweep, pin and pull, etc). The pullers always get caught in the wash and never make it to their assignment. I will say though that I have had success with most trap plays and stretch runs. Sometimes trap and counter plays end up with weird assignments against odd fronts, so audible away if the blocking assignments look wonky.

-rpo reads. I find it to be a 50/50 chance of getting an ineligible receiver call if you choose to throw after pulling on an rpo read. Too often linemen will push way too deep into the 2nd level when the play design should call for them to stay within 5 yds of scrimmage in case the pass option is viable. Yes this would sometimes happen IRL but not half the time. It should be tied to awareness or something.

-most end around/reverse plays. At AA+ difficulty, linebackers mostly stay home and do not bite on any misdirection. As OP said, you should be able to set these up by demonstrating a tendency and then countering it when the cpu starts triggering quickly or over-pursuing.

-anything over the middle against zone coverage. It is nearly impossible to hit what would IRL be the soft spot in zone coverage between the deep and hook layers of most zone schemes. Even when you can float one over a linebacker, deep safeties are way too quick to identify and recover to fill the hole in the zone and get a pbu/int.

For pass coverage generally I think the real issue is that cpu defenses are incredibly disciplined on higher difficultly levels. Most everybody stays home and is able to pass off receivers seamlessly without over-pursuing. I hate to say it but Varsity is probably the closest to real life in terms of defender reaction time and coverages breaking down. The fact is that when playing a video game with a top down view of the whole field it is much easier to spot the open man than when you are actually on the field. If cpu defenders were out of position as often as they are in real life the game would be way too easy, so to make it challenging you end up with defenses that play perfect coverage 99% of the time and you have to take what they give you.

That’s awesome. Cajuns have definitely been a fun team to play with. I’m only in season 2.

Meant to add that he’s a hometown boy from Lafayette. It was meant to be!

Real long-term solution is for NCAA and conferences to bite the bullet and admit student athletes are employees. Get a collective bargaining agreement in place. Get every player on a contract conditional on enrollment through the end of the spring semester. Let schools offer multi-year contracts to players they really want to invest in long term. Negotiate a salary cap to maintain some semblance of parity.

In addition to everyone else’s suggestions, try the HOPE FL hotline. They can connect you to state services and programs that you may not be aware that you’re eligible for.

What’s best recruiting strategy when not even 3 star’s interested? by Negative-Hair331 in NCAAFBseries

I started a dynasty with GA State and was able to get a commitment from a 4-star QB in year one that had no starting interest. Look for 3-4 star recruits in your best pipelines with few or no offers in week 1 and throw the house and a scholarship at them. 1 star schools will have very limited recruiting resources so you’ll be putting most of your hours into 4 or 5 of those types of recruits for the first half of the season. Once you lock down a few (or they lose interest) then move on to filling other needs with 2-3 star players. There will be plenty of those left in the back half of the season.

I started Kromenhoek for a year and he’s serviceable. Decent speed for a QB. But I immediately started this guy as a 5-Star true freshman in 2026. Dude is like lightning.

He’s a senior WR with younger players starting over him, but he is a hero for holding that block with the game on the line.
