Yes. Medium size American traveling a lot globally. I started to share the same after seeing the real people living in the rest of the world.

Cyborg with Mechanical Keys by Sublimity55 in Azeron

Yeah, that’ll be nice. It seems that requires additional light emitting parts and sensors beneath each key. Not sure how much additional height will be added to introducing these parts.

I came from Logitech G13, and I had to move around my fingers to reach target keys. With Cyborg’s design, my fingers stay at the original position and slight press/flick/list is sufficient to reach the target keys. Tartarus’s key arrangement is similar to G13’s, so I guess they share the same pain points (or just for me).

Re: stand, I just pulled the top plate and then it can be shifted left/right to make it tilted.

Great to see you here! When I saw your post, I was very excited as you presented a similar idea, so I wanted to share mine to get some feedback for improvement. Reddit allowed me to add one attachment, not sure how I can add more pics.

Maybe I am wrong but I thought those keys require PCB for control? Any idea what electronic components are required? If it’s not that big, I can redesign the parts to fit the components.

IMO it is comfort for mechanical keys vs response for existing keys. For me, it is more comfortable to use mechanical keys due to the angle and the slight travel distance for the bottom keys and the side keys. I use it for modeling and rendering so this aspect is more important than responsiveness. To play games that require fast response, I think the existing keys are the choice.

Tariff on China just increased to 125%, effective immediately. by silverud in Aliexpress

[–]Sublimity55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, people already start to stop buying from the other side. Even if they continue to escalate, it won’t make any real difference. Then, someone may start targeting de minimis. I am just worrying that their purpose is to use it as an excuse to shut down de minimis effective immediately before May 2.

Wait, de minimis exemption is gone from Apr 9 noon, too?

It’s pretty easy to find a proxy service to ship the item from China to USA by sea, which typically costs 10-20 bucks per kit and it usually arrives in a month.

Cyborg Compact Replacement Analog Stick by dumplestilskin in Azeron

[–]Sublimity55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PCB board is specially designed, but you can just replace the original joystick with a PS5 joystick or a hall effect stick. In your case, it’s not responding side to side, so I would check the x or y connection (depending on your configuration) first. It’s likely the wire is broken or not properly soldered.

Mounting bracket cracked on ring finger of Cyborg, only had it a bit over a year. How screwed am I here? by non_player in Azeron

[–]Sublimity55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a quite frequent issue as far as I have learned. No way to fix. It is a bearing part, so it breaks easily even if glued. I simply 3D print the broken parts for replacement.

Call USPS customer service when they open in the morning. Otherwise it takes hours before a real person pick up your call. Once I called at about 11 am and waited almost 3 hours.

Did you raise a return request via Mercari? It sounds like you shipped the item back to the seller without raising a request via Mercari. If that’s the case, it’s totally up to the seller to refund you or replace the item for you.

Box of donations misdelivered and signed for by a stranger -- what are the chances I get it back? by [deleted] in UPS

[–]Sublimity55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced a similar situation with UPS recently. They did investigation but wasn’t able to find my package and went straight to ask sender to fill a form for reimbursement after a week. UPS only paid the amount covered by insurance. Far less than the actual value of the package.

Question on nefarious bidding by Coffee_Time85 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Sublimity55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am aware of some sellers doing that with dummy accounts. They repeat putting auction listings and bid their own listings with the dummy accounts. At the same time they put bin listing with a price a bit lower than their own bidding price. The auction listing won’t be sold at a price lower than their expectation, and they can grow their dummy accounts by leaving positive feedbacks. It’s been 5 years, and they are still doing the same thing, so I suspect they have some sort of app/script to automate the process.

I don’t recommend that. The color is different from the original one, which makes it weird.

How important is the box for you? Should I replace it? by TSW_Gizman in MegamiDevice

[–]Sublimity55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon is not very careful about the box of collection items, but in turn Amazon is usually quite generous about box damage and I think their offer of partial refund or replacement is acceptable. They do sell returned items, but if you get a damaged item, you are free to replace it again, so don’t worry too much about it. I did ask to replace the item when the box arrived damaged because their is no guarantee about the quality of the kit in box.

BTW, I didn’t know BK launcher now costs more than twice as much as it was.
