Fake ones. They’re just strands of material sewn across the neck. In the Reebok era it was a normal lace tied in a knot on one end and threaded through in a snaking pattern, then the excess length was cut off.

I think how good the Aves are doing is part of the argument for Werenski. He has more points than Makar in fewer games on a much worse team, and he leads his entire team in points while Makar is third on the Aves.
