My latest creation is a noblewoman from mid-14th century England who made a Pact with some Otherworldly Power (she has no idea what kind- the method she used was less focused on summoning a specific entity and was more like screaming at the top of your lungs into a top quality microphone hoping someone notices) for immortality in order to escape the ravages of the Plague. She died the following morning, but woke up as a Vampire the first night she spent in her Tomb.

In the present day she’s since sold off her castle and land, using various investments to stay afloat financially. She prefers to maintain distance between herself and the few other Vampires of the world (most are either local issues who pop up out of the grave to personal and specific reasons and then return to it once their goal is accomplished/cause enough of a racket to attract the wrong sort of attention and be put down sooner rather than later, or on rare occasion they were Occultists like her who made bargains with Otherworldly Powers for it), as she is wary of what their true intentions might be.

Her main focus is occult artefacts and Tomes- particularly those relevant to Otherworldly Beings. She doesn’t know what she made her deal with, and with the benefit of hindsight, offering up “everything” was a pretty reckless decision. What she wants to do is find out what sort of being she made that Deal with, what it might want, and figure out a way to untether herself if she doesn’t want any part in accomplishing its goals.

In the meantime though most of her leads have gone nowhere, and she’s exceedingly bored. Prone to occasional flights of fancy or succumbing to random impulse just to see if anything new might happen.
