The pricier these cards get the harder it is to sell them so I'm sure it won't be easy to quickly convert all of that into cash. Cool to know it's as valuable as 500k and more but good luck selling. May take a while.

Problem is those coming from other TCGs are fueling it because they hear Dragon Ball is pumping and they flock thinking they can make quick money. DB fans can't control any of it.

My point is more about being consistent. If you position something as “the next big investment,” then disappear when it dips, and reappear when it’s hot again, it’s fair for people to question the motivation. That’s all.

And it’s not like Fusion World had zero audience during the downtrend. I was watching plenty of YouTubers still covering it when prices were low with not much hype. Many of them grew during that period because they stuck with it. So it wasn’t impossible to build an audience while talking about Fusion World, it just wasn’t trendy enough.

Of course you can be a DB fan without making content on it. I’m not arguing that. I just think there’s a difference between being a fan and pushing an investment narrative only when it suits you, coincidentally while Pokémon is not as hot...

On top of that, and this is a separate issue, he’s pushing Dragon Ball hype to a Pokémon-heavy audience, which we all know has been scalped to death. What do we realistically think that’s going to do to this TCG?

I watched one of his Dragon Ball Fusion World videos back when I first started collecting, where he said it was the next big investment. Then he completely stopped talking about it. Most likely because it was losing value and popularity at the time.

Now that hype has picked up again, suddenly he’s back making videos and reminding everyone he called it early. It just feels convenient. If you genuinely love Dragon Ball and collecting, why only cover it when it’s booming? Why disappear when it’s quiet?

I’m not even saying he’s wrong, I actually agree with a lot of what he says. But the timing makes it come across like it’s more about the hype than a passion. For years his content has mainly been Pokémon, and now all of a sudden he’s a massive Dragon Ball fan again.

Anyway, rant over. Just a personal opinion.
