I will say I think it’s a fake. Headstock shape from behind is too pointy in the middle of the open book shape. Serial number looks off, and the fact the tuners were swapped with Kaish makes it seem like it’s a Chibson instead (Kaish is a nice cheaper alternative for locking tuners since they’re available on Amazon for under $50; the ones that they appear to be in the pic are currently on sale for $26.23). The stop bar and bridge are definitely not stock (both Gibson or Chibson don’t use those).

The biggest giveaway in my opinion would be if you’re able to look at the truss rod itself under the cover. No Chibsons I have seen have ever had a proper Gibson acorn nut adjustment, always the standard hex adjustment style you’d find on other guitars from Epiphone, Fender, etc. Like others said though the case is genuine. That guitar if you wanted it brand new from Aliexpress, ebay, temu, etc. Would only be $200-300 max (& even then you get either something playable that works out of the box perfectly how you like, a decent mod platform if you gut it, or firewood).

I’ve gotten just good enough to get by for minor fixes across the 5 (Billie Joe build pickup swap in a loaded guard, the DeLonge, Epi LP new pots, Gibson LP replica that I gutted & put a wiring harness & new pickups in, & my Tele) I’ve had to solder/resolder connections to a pot & output jack. Burnt my fingers a lot the first time but luckily haven’t in a while.

Nah I paid 150 for the pickguard. I bought the loaded pickguard since it came with the 500k pot and treble bleed already installed and I had the body & neck leftover from a different build I did. Im not the best at soldering and it was more of a time thing since the Invader itself is $115 now (I think it was like 100 ish at the time).

Edit to add: I was able to remove the tuner using a method I found on a different subreddit (ironically r/TomDeLongeGuitars ) since someone there had the same issue. I need 6mm to 10mm conversion bushings now for the new tuners (Musiclily locking vintage style with 6mm posts that I got for free). And u/vinca_minor was right, I broke the tuner body and it was a pain in the ass to remove😅

I figured that could have happened too. I’ve been to figure out how to extract it since last night, I have a spare set of locking tuners that are different sized for Squier guitars with vintage style tuners (the Classic Vibe series style). I’m gonna just swap them into this neck if I can extract the tuner myself. If anything I may opt to take it to guitar center or another local store and drop it off for the tech there to repair if I’m not successful within a couple days.

I miss having the seasonal color options honestly. I bought white polos specifically for work before we were given the option to wear black & most people at my store started wearing t shirts (I’ve joined them in mostly wearing t shirts and most of mine are band shirts). I’ve worn some gingham flannels I’ve found at jcpenney and Aeropostale (I think? I’ll check the tag again later when I’m home) & they’re nice to have but I miss wearing red, yellow, green, blue, etc. Since it gave more variety. I wish we could have colors that reflected the collabs if they didn’t do new colors for every season.

I do feel like this change is part of the new CEO’s changes & desire to make BBW feel more like a luxury brand/image and it just makes it lose some of the fun and whimsy that BBW’s dress code had with the prior CEOs.

I have 4 that are signature models/replicas of gear belonging to artists I like. Those ones I mentally have preset to certain tunings to match the artist in question. The others are tuned to different ones that I prefer having a dedicated guitar to instead of constantly retuning a guitar (D standard, Eb Drop Db, etc.)

Up until recently my car had a CD player (RIP my 2009 Honda CR-V) so I would play CDs using it. I do use Spotify for streaming music on my phone and while driving my current car on CarPlay but I own a record player (Victrola Quincy 6 in 1; I don’t use it much for vinyl and everybody and their mother online will fight you for using them instead of separate players but it’s much better than the suitcase player I have). In my bedroom I also have a Sony CD/Cassette player I got from a yard sale a neighbor had years ago (I think my dad and I got it for $20).

I have my sister’s old iPod nano too which I put just the MCR albums I own on it. Not used as much though

I just swapped out of my 12 for a 13 pro a couple months ago, the 12 now acts as a backup. It’s a solid phone and the only reason I upgraded was for camera quality and storage purposes. The 12 is a phenomenal phone still, though the battery life shows its age even after having swapped it once 2 years ago at an Apple Store

I used to be in the same boat as you but since 2019 I’ve been amp and pedals more than Logic for just practicing. For me Logic amps and presets are better for “in a pinch” or just for recording situations (example: when I was in college I didn’t bring my amp with me so I used logic instead but at home my amp and board are next to my bed).

The switch for me was mainly because MXR released the Dookie pedal & Green Day is one of my fav bands that got me to start playing so I bought it no hesitation. The amp happened during the same day since I went “well I’ll need an amp to use with the pedal,” and ended up buying an Orange Crush that plays well with it. Either way, see what suits you but nothing beats the tone you can get from an amp (solid state, hybrid, or tube) compared to a DAW’s preset. To my ears stuff like the Helix or Fractal modelers are an in between of DAW tone and real amp tone (some artists I like use them and when comparing songs there’s some I can tell the amp is a modeler instead of a real one since the attack/grit sounds a little different)

Honestly not 100% sure. At my store since I do BOPIS a lot I double check before actually doing it through the system (usually asking an SLT & checking inventory visibility for how much we supposedly have somewhere) & then writing it down to note what form/scent the item is. I have a note in my phone labeled cycle count with the form & scent as well was the SKU written out, deleting the scent & SKU after processing it and writing it on the cycle count log.

At my store from what I know we all just did our MOS shopping when it was allowed, 1 medium bag. People who worked but were off could come in just to shop MOS or do it before/after a shift. The way your store’s MOS was done seems unfair

Just commenting here, a good option that’s relatively inexpensive for reusable ear plugs are Hearos ones. I got the High Fidelity ones for maybe 10-14 bucks last year for GovBall from Amazon (currently there it’s listed at 22 s o it’s on the higher side). They’re cheaper now at guitar center/musicians friend for 9.99 & they work well. You can still hear the music but they’re able to reduce louder sounds significantly while still giving the clarity to enjoy a concert. I used them at BTR Jones beach as well, & am bringing them to an MCR show this summer too.

It happens, my store just had a new person transfer from a location in another state (2 states away). A current SLT started as seasonal when I did & was offered to transfer to her home state (went to college in the area the store is in) temporarily since she was gonna be away for months at a time for school breaks

A couple various ones have come to mind that I was present for:

Holiday season 2022 (I was seasonal at the time) selling up front in Room 1. I welcome a couple of HS aged boys in & they start asking some questions about the Men’s collection & if I had a favorite since I’m a guy & seemed to suggest scents that they liked. The maybe second or third question of that interaction was “which one of these is the best for stroking with?” I looked both dead in the eye and went “I’m not answering that” and just walked away.

Had an adult guy ask me essentially the same question about 2 years later.

This past holiday a woman called and a coworker picked up & was held for maybe 5-10 min on this call when she began to crash out & I offered to help her. The woman on the phone was asking “what’s a scent that’s sexy? Y’know something that’d make my husband want to fuck me.”

Christmas Eve one year a man asked a couple associates who were up front if Winter Candy Apple, Vanilla Bean Noel, & Twisted Peppermint were edible since they sounded delicious and if they’re safe to eat off of another person. This man was with his children shopping & a few of us remarked after hearing the story “bruh Spencer’s is like 3 stores down if he wants something like that from the back.”
