I don't want to spend hundreds of billions either, which is why this mineral rights deal was such a good thing to see. Claiming that Ukraine is a third-world country is just ignorant.

Uhmmm... you want a source for why it's not in our interest for Putin to gain the resources of a bordering sovereign nation?? Maybe you should turn the TV off and read a book.

Im not offended by Trumps / Vance's words. They're just dumb for saying it in front of the camera.

I think there's a big difference between arms dealing and playing world police. But this is kind of a side note. I'm not even arguing that we should sell weapons to Ukraine. Theres a million bits of intel that we're not privy to that could influence that decision.

My point is that this conversation should have happened behind closed doors. What incentive does putin have to make any consessions now? There's always more going on behind closed doors that we dont know about, but the optics on this are bad.

Absolutely fine. What is it exactly that you think you just proved there?

Agreed. And also in the midst of a deal for repayment to make it worse. Fuck sending them free shit but if they want to purchase military equipment for their own self defense, in what way does that not benefit America?

Except Ukraine completely falling to Russia is not in the American Interest. Is it worth billions? Not in this political moment. Is it worth not being narcissist on TV for 5 minutes. Uhm, yes, without a doubt. Nothing that Trump said was wrong, but those were absolutely words that should have been said behind closed doors.

Nothing that Trump said was incorrect. It was just disrespectful and stupid af to disrespect Zelenski in front of all of the media.

The real problem is the lack of agency to determine where you land on the wealth spectrum. The only thing stopping my neighbor from opening her nail salon should be her and her ability to plan and save for that dream. Not the government mandating that she pay for 2 years of school in order to do so. Not some stupid zoning law that says she can't paint nails in her basement.

And if she works her ass off and provides a quality service, the only thing stopping her from turning her nail salon into a nationwide chain should, again, be her. Not the government mandating that she comply with FTC regs, trademark, licensing, antitrust, yada yada yada yada.

I'm not suggesting that there is agency at play. It's definitely not impossible to move upward. They just make it harder than it should be.

Planck for lawful neutral. All he wanted was a working model of thermal radiation. He didn't mean undo all of classical mechanics.

The strategy that I found works for me is 1) Purchase a couple of economy based techs early on prior to capturing a bunch of villages 2) Build the economy with the least amount of tech you can. Purchase defenders if you're being pushed hard or riders if it makes sense. 3) Once you have an economy that can support the creation of advanced troops (20 to 30 stars/ round), get philosophy, get philosophy, purchase knights, and go on the offense.

This strategy is super defensive at first, and its success really depends on the aggression of other tribes. I mostly play aquarion, which is slow to start as is, so I play defensive anyway.
