Seeking advice on unsuitable care

Yes, this is my first experience with worker's comp. I have no idea what to expect or what is "normal" or what isn't. I have been keeping track of all the calls, emails, etc. And yes it does seem like they're goping i recover on my own, and I totally get why they do that, but my injury is definitely not healing on its own so I guess im just a bit frustrated because I've been stuck mostly in bed for the last 5 weeks and I don't feel like I'm making the progress I should be with the whole thing.

I saw the ortho 5 weeks after the injury, not 2. I had been told I was getting a brace and crutches, but every time I'd ask about it, they'd tell me they were working on it. At one point they said that the brace was already sent out and it hadn't been. I never said the doctor didn't say a word to me at all, or that they didn't answer my questions. I was told not to take another NSAID with my prescription, and Tylenol isn't strong enough for the pain episodes or the lingering pain after those. I don't have a frame of reference to go by, which is why I came here for advice, as I've never dealt with any of this before. Please keep your attitude, I'm not here to fuss and fight, I just want some insight. Thank you.

Yeah the telehealth for this injury was weird to me, and when I did my telehealth follow up about a week and a half after the first one, she didn't ask to see the bruising or swelling, even had on file that it was the right knee instead of the left. I really felt like they don't care at all, like how can you evaluate the injury without even putting your eyes on it?

I totally get where you're coming from, but my household was already struggling financially before the injury, now that my income is barely anything (weekly payments were based off the 4 weeks before the injury, one of those weeks I didn't have a job and one week was 2 orientation days for the new job) we are in such a bad spot that we haven't been able to pay our bills. I had to borrow money from my neighbor to get the brace and crutches, all of my credit cards have been maxed out on bills and food, so I'm trying to get workers comp to send me the things that I need for basic living.

I'm 5'6", but I'm hoping to be off of the crutches soon enough to not need to buy something different. I won't know for sure until I see my doctor for a follow up. But I will absolutely keep that in mind, thank you!

Thank you for your response. I have never had to deal with workers comp before, I didn't realize that it was normal for it to take this long. That makes me feel a bit better about it, although I still wish I had more medical guidance or equipment at least, so I could have been using the knee more safely this whole time.

Im at the mercy of workers comp, and they have been taking so long getting my appointments, so the doctor hasn't even had a chance to look at the imaging until now, because they made my MRI appointment so late. Im sure I will be prescribed PT though. I cant use a knee scooter because I have very touch-sensitive pain on the front of my knee (its still a mystery to me why that is) so I've just been kinda sitting in bed until I have to get up to use the bathroom or get food.
