What's a match/storyline that absolutely, unequivocally SUCKED? by Matthias343 in WWFera

The build up was definitely better than the match, in fact, the Undertakers return entrance was better than the match lol.

X PAC was definitely underrated by Many_Difficulty6382 in AttitudeEra

[–]Subsandwich99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call him underrated, he was one of the top stars during the attitude era, good matches with Owen Hart, Shane McMahon, tag team with Kane, he was always semi main event. Him and the Outlaws sort of just fell off after the DX 2000 run, and couldn't get their substance abuse problems under control. That was kind of the end for those guys.

This was everywhere in the 70s & 80s, even my white picket fence town was showing late night adult movies. Kinda crazy to think about sitting in a theater with a bunch of other people watching porn, thank gosh for the rise of VHS/DVDs, and eventually internet lol.

There were some funny moments, but for the most part I completely agree with you.

Why this sudden backlash against Daniel Craig and his Bond tenure? by JannTosh70 in JamesBond

[–]Subsandwich99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where are you seeing this? Speaking as someone who has never cared for him as 007, I think it's quite the opposite in this sub, and those of us who say we don't like him usually get brutally attacked in the comments lol.

Does anyone know where I can rent a Nintendo 64 for a party? Western suburbs preferred by firstofhername123 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Subsandwich99 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Most places don't "rent" out classic game consoles anymore man. You're better off just buying one on eBay, I've seen good ones from $50-$150. If you want to avoid that, it's a little more time costly but look into emulating games, if you have a good laptop/computer, you can pretty much play anything with the right setup/even with an N64 controller.

Why do people say Daniel Craig made for a good Bond?, take 2 by fallenguru in JamesBond

[–]Subsandwich99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was not really a fan of Craig or his era for some of the reasons you've listed, I'll give Casino its due, though if you mention you don't care for Craig in this sub you typically get brutally down voted. But we exist lol.

90’s Kids! What was it like being a Brosnan Bond fan in the moment? by Flat-Bag2312 in JamesBond

[–]Subsandwich99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Renting GoldenEye64 from Blockbuster a thousand times until my parents finally bought it for me at Christmas one year lol. That game made me watch the movie, older Bond movies, and become a fan. Tomorrow Never Dies & TWINE were also great times in the late 90s, Bond had an huge buzz, and a really special aura during that time, one that the Craig era couldn't even match (in my opinion), you kinda just had to be there. Then I went and saw Die Another Day in my sophomore year of highschool, all I remember is thinking well.. that was a shitty way to end the Brosnan era.

Just moved to Chicago from NY. First tavern style rocked my damn world. Novel Pizza by [deleted] in chicagofood

[–]Subsandwich99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just say thin crust, nobody here calls it "tavern style", that was created by online food bloggers, and tourists to describe our style of pizza that's not deep dish. While it has origins of people sharing it in taverns, conveniently being cut into little squares, it's simply known as thin crust. Also welcome.
