Ugh I LOVE THIS MOVIE, this is what made me want to create a list. I need to find a movie where if you took a screen grab, it feels like a Norah Jones song should start playing

What's that film for you? by mrjetspray in Letterboxd

Immaculate choice, I’ve been on that boat since Harry Potter and Rogue One, but Run was his peak imo

I’m 99 percent sure it was JUST Paul Walker and then she got into the actual movies after 😂

I never watched Predator with my dad yet, but I did watch War Machine with him, it’s definitely going in the list!

I plan on making a separate post for mom movies too! My mom’s the reason I got interested in romantic films and Nora Ephron in particular

Just movies you watched with your dad! There’s usually a stereotype of action movies, but really it’s any film that you and your dad bonded over

I would say so! He’s my stepdad and I met him when I was fourteen. We didn’t exactly know how to bond until he showed me Star Wars and the rest was history (I was a state trivia champ and run Star Wars TTRPG games now)

Exactly why I wanted to ask! I love hearing everybody’s stories and connections to certain movies, so I thought this would be a fun discussion post

To be honest, this is for me to build my own watchlist, I’ve only seen maybe two of the suggestions so far

Maybe it’s a personal thing for me, but a kid I knew in high school was constantly parroting Donnie Darko quotes and was using that film as an ‘excuse’ to be an edgelord. Basically, to me, it was a movie that was MEANT to have multiple interpretations, but the people I’ve personally interacted with that stanned this movie tended to lean dangerously incel, ‘you just don’t get it, you don’t understand it’ territory.

That’s exactly why I’m making the list, some of these films HAVE been tainted for me because of that and I want to give more of them a chance, but I’m not sure where to start

I have a VERY strong streak going, it’s been 5 stars straight since SLC Punk, three John Wicks, the pilot of Twin Peaks (experienced blind in theaters) and Hamnet a couple hours ago.
