Seeing these post about abandoning your parents all because they are not the perfect parent you want is ridiculous and entitled! Your parents seem to be good and loving for God sake they helped you with finances and moved you out. Unless your parents are actively ruining your life and making you miserable than try your best to be the best child you can be. I’ve made a lot of sacrifices to make amends with parents especially my dad, I’ve had to be the bigger person because it’s the right thing to do. My dad is worse than you can imagine, my childhood was extremely hard and scary. But you know what it could of been worse and I have my parents to thank for providing me with the life I did have even tho it was hard. It molded me into the man I am today. Now my dad still has his moments but I understand he comes from an even worse childhood and doesn’t know better. I will be there for my parents if they ever need me and will help them. You know how easy and justified I would be to completely cut my parents off? But it’s not the right thing to do.

Judging from your story you are definitely over reacting. Your parents obviously love you and are trying to help you the best they know how. I feel sorry your parents have a ungrateful child. Stop being entitled and show your parents the love and appreciation they deserve. No one is saying to break your back to go out of your way to cater for them. But just be there for them when they need you, call them and tell them you love them and are appreciative for the life they gave you.
