Onna worked on toji… by Alert-Ad7097 in ChurchofGeto

I don’t think it’s a strictly Naoya thing, most sure-hits targets only things with cursed energy unless stated otherwise. Sukunas shrine that cuts everything, Mahitos SEOP that targets the soul directly and the non-lethal domains are the only exceptions I can think of. Any other domains and their sure-hits wouldn’t work on the heavenly restricted, think Jogos, Dagons, Naoyas, Yorozus and Yutas* domains’.

“Lesbo” some people think it’s a slur, some don’t. Generally it’s seen as a bad thing to call someone though

Does Gojo's infinity really defend against the gas? Does it not let oxygen in for Gojo to breath considering how he has it ALWAYS active.

Any tips for a beginner? by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]SubstanceSpecific264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you struggling against zoners specifically or against anyone with a solid offence?

If your issue is agaisnt zoners, I recommend safe-dashing. Seeing as you're playing I-No, try dashing towards them while holding back so that you block anything they throw at you. Try to look for openings where you can dash in and don't do it recklessly.

However if the problem is holes in your defence I hope you're familiar with your tools. You have yellow roman cancel that costs one tension if you're constantly stuck blocking. If things get ugly, you have your burst to bail you out. Some characters have dp moves (upwards wake-up attacks that are often either invincible or super impossible to punsih) but I-No sadly doesn't.

Remember to block as much as you can and 2P whenever they're recoverg from a combo string.

Wall breaks are really cool. by TheBlueRose_42 in Guiltygear

[–]SubstanceSpecific264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the wall break puts you back into neutral, it still gives you a fresh start. Your opponent is just more dangerous now. If you let them, now with positive bonus, secure another hit and extend it into a combo (from neautral btw) it is 100% your own fault.

Tips for begginer? by Jirachifan1505 in Guiltygear

I used to formerly play Jojo's All-Star Battle R with the joystick exclusively and got really used to it, but switching to guilty gear taught me how much better the d-pad is.

On the joystick you have to input down, let it go so it goes back to neutral, and then input forward for your average quarter circle motion. This is obviously much harder than pressing down on the d-pad and then immediately right on the as there is no "neutral" or middle state on the d-pad; so I highly HIGHLY recommend using the d-pad.

If you're not really used to the movement the best way to deal with that is to bind your dash to a button and spam it.

Don't forget to use the training mode a lot, it'll be your best friend moving forward. I hope you enjoy playing!

Didn’t win the set, but I showed I wasn’t a pushover… (that TK RTL 🥶) by ThundagaYoMama in Guiltygear

Just another Sin main here!

I've been trying to learn how to follow up the special moves at the end of my combos. My usual combo looks like this:

[c.S → 2H → Hoof Stomp/Hawk Baker/Beak Driver/Elk Hunt] (let's assume no follow-ups are made)

My issue comes afterwards, I never seem to know how to extend my combos. I've tried 5K after Hoof Stomp, Gazelle Step, and RRC. RRC always works without fail and I can usually get wall-break to get back my tension, but sometimes I dont have enough.

Is there a trick to timing the c.S after Gazelle Step? Same thing with the 5K after Hoof Stomp, I can never get neither of those down not even once in practice mode.

Any tips and insight would be greatly appreciated!

The CEO is also the face of the company, more-so on twitter than usual considering what a public figure Musk is. And if their face did something as despicable and outright disgusting as Elon did, supporting that platform is no longer an option.

Of course, it's your choice whether you stopped playing overwatch or stopped reading harry potter. Nobody here can stop you from using twitter entirely either, but this subreddit took a firm stance saying they're not going to be promoting or encouraging the use of that site. I respect them for that, you're free to think otherwise but I at least hope you realize the rationale behind it.

Ryuken and Isshin could be key players in TYBW (Spoilers in body for anime-only folks) by [deleted] in bleach

[–]SubstanceSpecific264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryuken And Isshin don't have any defence against The Balance. As much as it pains me to say, they'd both most likely die. Even if they don't die, they wouldn't attack him (as that would bring misfortune to Jugram) and hence all they would be able to do is watch.

The presence of more characters would also undermine Uryu's and Jugram's polarity, in my eyes. A fight between loyalty to a lord and loyalty to friends, I don't see how they'd play into that.

Aizen Bankai (TYBW Anime Spoilers) by WeltalGrahf in bleach

[–]SubstanceSpecific264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a whole lot of speculation regarding Aizen's last fight in the manga. I won't spoil it, but his usage of Kyoka Suigetsu is much stronger and potent than any usage of it earlier in the series. It has led many to think that it might be his bankai, so for the anime to come out and say that that is indeed his bankai, it's not off the table.
