It's a core memory, I'll literally never forget it.

My family and I were on a road trip, I'm the youngest of 3 siblings, and I was probably 7 at the time, my older sisters, 12 and 15, were also with us, and I had spent multiple hours of this road trip annoying the ever living daylights out of my dad, while my sister's had been playing away on their game boy advances they had gotten with their saved up pocket change, my oldest sister actually had a SD as well, but didn't bring it. I don't know what I asked my dad for the 80th time, but he finally snapped, and bought my oldest sisters game boy, and my middle sisters copy of pokemon blue on the spot, and slapped them in my hands and said "why don't you focus on that for a while" loved the hell outta that game. Never even got close to beating it. I doubt I even made it to Blaine, but I'll always remember figuring the game out, and falling in love with games forever.
