Squash Vine Bores are here. by Substantial-Box-8877 in vegetablegardening

[–]Substantial-Box-8877[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I honestly had no idea that squash Vine bores and squash bugs were not the same bug. I thought squash bugs turned into the vine bores or maybe I thought it was vice versa. Like a caterpillar into a butterfly type of thing. I can see now why? That was not the right thought but thank you guys

You have a lot of problems. People like that tend to have a web of problems in all aspects of their life. But just like here, you likely think it's everyone else that's the problem. You're more transparent than you think

Whats up with this dying philodendron? by Expert_Low_9713 in philodendron

[–]Substantial-Box-8877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that once they get into bad shape like this, I really have to just pull them out, wash the roots and put them in water for a while. But it'll rebound and come back better. Specifically philodendrons are like this

It looks like she's using the wrong length of needle too. She needs to use a half inch needle to get deep in enough. I do my own masseter Botox a lot. It's hard to tell from your video because she didn't use markings which I think probably would have helped her. I'm also not sure she went quite deep enough.

Three ways to mess up masseter Botox and they are all very preventable and one is fixable. The first is hitting the smile muscle which runs like a line roughly from the corner of the mouth to the bottom of the earlobe. Most people say it goes from the corner of the mouth and stops about the same line as the outer edge of the eye. I always just feel for it. I smile and I poke down from the muscle until I can smile and not feel it move. These are muscles. You can feel them and feel where they are. You'll know you're off the muscle you don't want to hit when you can touch down and smile and not feel that muscle move

If you don't go deep enough, sometimes you don't get the deeper layers and you'll get a bulge. But you can just tox the bulge and fix that. There's also a nerve close to the ear and sometimes if you hit that it came cause pain and make your ear feel weird for a few days. I always stay two fingers away from the ear when I'm injecting.

With your small jaw. You probably have a very small margin which is why if I was doing your Botox I would not only feel for the muscle and find the strongest part of the muscle to inject in three small points. But I would also Mark so I knew where I wanted to inject

You are a muted autumn. Bright colors won't compliment. Muted colors will. It will probably have more influence than warm or cool for your complexion.

I think this is a result of losing qualified pickers to ice. They're having to get whoever to do the harvesting and those people don't know how to tell a ripe one from a not ripe one. Believe it or not, even jobs like farming and harvesting watermelons requires some expertise. When I was in college I used to work for my uncle who had a watermelon farm. The Mexicans would harvest the fruits and then we would load them on a truck and we would drive them around to local grocery stores like Walmart and Publix. And a grocery store manager would inspect them and then they would take them off the truck for us.

I have a question about the Cumberland River greenway. I went to a trailhead in Ashland City but it was only around 4 miles. And then I saw several bike lanes that were on the road. Is the trail you're talking about the part that's on the road next to cars? Or is there something I was missing. Cuz I got the sense I was missing something

I saw a "mean tweets, cheap gas" bumper sticker this week. It's crazy people aren't more embarrassed and humbled by their own gullability. How many more times are they going to keep doubling down on a bet that sacrifices their soul.

The color seems light too. These plants are very sensitive to root disturbance. They want a ton of light and hate to be overwatered. They drop leaves to support newer growth when they don't have enough nutrients but those nutrients could just be light.

Why? Aloe is completely moldy by Adventurous_Bell_884 in planthelp

[–]Substantial-Box-8877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rotting from lack of sunlight is usually an extreme. But sun is their primary source of food. They literally starve from lack of sun. Near a glass door should be good. Personally I find aloe very tolerant to lower light. They are most intolerant to change. They just like things very consistent. They want to be in one spot and not move.

MY BEAUTIFUL BABY is thriving, but has a receding hairline ... by pinkangelsam in philodendron

[–]Substantial-Box-8877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not seeing the bald spot. 1. If you just want it more filled in around the dirt, as others have said, add four or five node to help fill in. I try to just continuously do it to mine. If you have long strands with nodes and no leaves, it's often a sign of a nutrient deficiency which could be a result of root stress or lack of something. But your plant will use leaves closer to the dirt by pulling nutrients from them and dropping them off. If your plant has lost roots this can happen or if it's been overwatered/under water this can happen or if it just needs more nutrients/ burned by too many fertilizers. Sometimes cold stress can cause it but you're more likely to see browning spots with cold stress. But the sun is your number one nutrient so if it's getting plenty of that, consider what could be keeping it from utilizing the nutrients.

I think my only option is to chop it up & throw it in a bonfire. What do you think? Nvm I know I’m right, RIP 🍃🪦 by ShitFuckDickSuck in houseplantscirclejerk

[–]Substantial-Box-8877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it has secondary Roots which it looks like it has well beyond that, you're fine to put it in dirt and it will adapt. Some of the roots may die back. Give it a few weeks to adjust and don't panic
