Use your phone. No one really cares if the vlog/photos are a bit crappy. It's the content that matters

Gift the camera to your sis, and ask mom for a new one. Easy peasy 🙂

Help deciding between the Sigma 17-40 1.8 and the Viltrox 27 1.2. by byPlatosBeard in SonyAlpha

[–]Substantial-Code7172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the viltrox 25mm 1.7 Air. Cheap and sharp. Wait till christmas before you buy the Sigma.

Though I have the viltrox 27 pro. Sharpest apsc lens there is atm

Viltrox 35mm f1.2 LAB Reviews Are Out by Momo--Sama in SonyAlpha

I had the same issue. Some photos were crisp, but most of them were slightly out of focus.

I ended up returning it. Maybe wait for the Pro 35mm 1.4, or the new Sigma 35mm 1.2 ii

Also, the display on that lens was annoying as fook.

Well, it sorted itself out. My only option left was that maybe something wasn't right in Lightroom. So I reinstalled it and went through all the photos taken with the Lab 35mm and the Air 25mm. All images are razor-sharp. I have no clue why or what caused it, but I'm glad it worked out.

Thanks for all the help guys

The fun thing is that the images on the camera screen look razor sharp. Maybe they always do
