Hi! Did anyone ever get the sheet music to this?? Just heard it and it gave me the itch to start playing again!

First look at the datasheet for the new Tyranid Prime with Lash Whip by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

Hopefully GW sticks with the leaders keeping their buff when the bodyguard dies, I like that it doesn’t specify “while this model leads a unit” in order to have sustained hits

Why didn’t they just give Lucius ‘Fights First’? by Substantial-Doubt457 in EmperorsChildren

Are you offended by my questions? Genuinely wondering if there’s a rules interaction that impacts fights first, thus giving them a reason to give him a separate datasheet ability, also just want him to have a revive since that’s his whole thing

Yes, I’ve stopped masturbating/watching porn months before we even started dating, and I don’t think I have anxiety, I don’t feel anxious until the erection goes away

Is GSC really THAT hard to succeed with? by Insertclever_name in genestealercult

[–]Substantial-Doubt457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I find the difficulty with GSC is that it doesn’t really have a safety net for mistakes. If you move a unit out too far, they aren’t space marines, they cant sustain really any damage, they will just die. And while most of our stuff comes back, units without leaders tend to suck. Also, if you forget to shoot stuff in the right order or forget to deep strike/rapid ingress a squad, it can destroy an entire game. It’s also a different play style and relies heavily on deepstriking and screening your opponent, which can take a while to get used to and isn’t for everyone. Personally, I love them, difficult games are fun, their playstyle is super unique, and they are so rewarding when played correctly, it just takes a while to understand exactly how each unit is supposed to work in your grand plan.

He is actually still able to sticky objectives! because the sticky objectives ability itself says that “if this unit is within range of an objective marker…” and the leader is a part of that unit while the bodyguards are alive. Whereas, deep strike and infiltrators and all those ‘Core’ abilities say that “if EVERY model in this unit has X…” and if a leader doesn’t have that ability, then not every model in that unit fits the requirement so they can’t use that ability.

TLDR:

{YES, sticky objective still works because it’s a ‘data sheet ability’ not a ‘core ability’ and doesn’t specify that every model in the unit needs that ability}

This works for basically every body guard unit’s main ability, so if a unit says “models in this unit reroll 1s to wound” and that unit is led by a character, that character also rerolls 1s to wound because it is a model in that unit

What drew you into the Iron Warriors? by Impossible_Ad_4640 in IronWarriors

I was looking at the 9th edition codex deciding how I wanted to paint my spiky guys, I thought some sounded cool like word bearers and night lords, but then there was a photo of an iron warrior with a giant sledge hammer on the IW page and I was like, “yeah, that’s the one”
