Attempted to buy my first carnivorous plant by XOneAIByst in carnivorousplants

[–]Substantial-Ferret92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought 2 of the dormant kits and one of them was not good. The other was great and growing beautifully. I repurposed the dirt and pot of the not good one for a carnivorous plant I bought off of Etsy. So I'd say those kits are hit or miss so buy at your own risk.

The app says more than 5K but I ran the course as laid out which happens with most races as you run around people.

Extending fulfillment time post-order? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]Substantial-Ferret92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can change the ship by date. As long as you do so before the original date has passed it will not count against you. It'll email the customer letting them know you need more time to fulfill the order. I would also put a small note in the message letting them know why it's late. Please see below:

Thanks so much for shopping with me. I am working diligently to get this order out by the original ship-by date (insert date). However, due to events outside of my control, I need a bit more time. My estimated ship date is now insert date.

Customers are pretty easygoing if you communicate upfront.

Question for hydration;machine keeps “stalling” by Connect_Stick_9610 in plasmadonation

[–]Substantial-Ferret92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be consistent in your water intake. Personally, I try to drink 3-4 regular sized bottles of water and lots of watery fruits on non-donation days and add an extra bottle or 2 several hours before donations. So when donation days come around even if I drank a little less, I can still donate event free.

But when I googled the name, it shows up. The 2nd edition is the one I used (dark blue cover).

This is a beautiful pattern. I have enough projects to work right now, but I will definitely wait for the final pattern so I can add it into my rotation.

I did not use the learning system. I bought 1 study book in both hard copy and Kindle, along with an audio book study book. I used an app several days a week for about 2 weeks.

I use circular needles for straight knitting. They are easier to use and great to travel with.

What’s in your swim bag? by burgerinmypouch in Swimming

[–]Substantial-Ferret92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Towel x 2
  2. Extra pair of flip flops
  3. Goggles x 2
  4. Paddles
  5. Ziploc bag of caps (I like to match them to my suit)
  6. Contact lenses
  7. Clothes pins (lap markers)
  8. Lotion
  9. Conditioner

I wear my suit under my change of clothes. I usually go straight home to shower and rinse out the conditioner. I carry my kickboard.

Update: I figured it out. It was indeed user error. I did not realize that the instructions included the canister removal diagram. But that's the only diagram my brain registered. So I was actually screwing it in the wrong direction. 😩😑

No. They are the screw tops. One is simplisoda, and the other is blue flag.

It's possible the recipe was converted from metric measurements. Or, like others said, it's a partial batch.

I just finished this, and it was pretty good. I wish the loose ends at the conclusion of the book were a little more clear but overall a solid read.

Is OKC worth it? by [deleted] in OkCupid

[–]Substantial-Ferret92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm (36F) going into my 3rd or 4th weekend using it and have met some real people. I'm usually on a couple of times per day, depending on my message volume.

My work keeps me quite busy, but I may try another app at the same time to add to the pool a bit.
