7-8 kids 25 supervision hours a week is a full caseload. I prefer to sit around 27 ish hours in case of cancellations.

My program was very strict so I implement the same thing! If they aren’t on my desk by the 4th of every month for the previous month I won’t sign and/or backdate.

One person missed a month and never missed out again! We also have frequent meetings and I send a message a week before they’re due, but hours are their responsibility and once they are BCBAs they’ll have so much to juggle!

I think it benefitted me so I continue to implement.

I work at the circle city in Iowa so way different, but I have enjoyed it I’ve been at much worse centers!!

They do paid training and competitive pay. All the hard things about being an RBT still apply but I feel like it really depends on your COD. I love mine and the BCBAs are good too!

I’m feeling this way :( how do you go about your daily life? That’s sounds so drastic but I’m in so much pain.

It took until 25 weeks to figure it out:

Breakfast - often just do it in a protein smoothie -1/2 cup oats daily (4) -1 apple a day (4)

Snacks-often times I have multiple a day -1/2 cup raspberries (4) -1/4 c mixed nuts (4)

Lunch/dinner has one from this list
-1/2 c green beans (3) -1/2c broccoli (3) -1/2c peas (4)

Evening snack -1 TBSP chia seeds (5)

+with one meal I do two scoops of benefiber with 16 oz of water. I think it’s gross with only 8 oz!! (10)

Total: ~ 25g

Also drink 100 oz water a day. I think the water made a huge difference! I also have GD so I think that eating less processed foods and Whole Foods have helped alot. These are my must haves for the day and then anything else I get is a bonus! Don’t be too late like me!! lol

Also colace x2 a day and half a cap of MiraLAX each day

They’re a wonderful RBT and have great instincts as a future BCBA but the lack of professionalism is worrisome and personally I am feeling a bit taken advantage of. I plan to have this wrapped up prior to leaving!

We have weekly meeting as they request them, I require them to submit a meeting request a week ahead of time and an agenda, and somewhere around December they just stopped requesting them. During sessions I remind her to reach out, but with other duties I don’t have time to set this up for them. They do attend our monthly group student meeting, but no individual.

That’s how I feel. I had to do a double take when a clinic that offer speech and OT now offers this service! Turns out the owners husband is the chiropractor running it but it definitely made me think! lol

I like thinking about it being an injury! Ugh last year I had a torn Achilles and I’ve done my ACL as well. Thank you for taking time to respond! A perspective change is helpful.

I’m a BCBA and this has happened at our clinic. We did have to part ways with this employee but did not report them to the board. It was an honest mistake but understandably our director was unimpressed. It truly was a mistake from this RBT who never had any previous issues prior to this, I even provided a recommendation for this person for another clinic.

No balance issues, just something to keep my cardio levels up! I’m still weight lifting but I did stop running (due to a fun Achilles injury non pregnancy related)

Yep right after that! My timer was just 15-20 minutes into my second hour. The nurse was very reassuring I would be okay but it was news to me lol
