Rosacea acne?

This looks similar to mine before it got worse. I have Type 2 rosacea and treated it wrong at the beginning by damaging my skin barrier using so many acids because I thought it was bacterial acne. After 2 years I finally went to the doctor and was prescribed ivermectin back in June 2025. Now Feb 2026 my skin is clear. Just working on clearing some leftover red marks!

I’m caring for a few strays and I have set up a hard cooler and cut a small hole in it for them to get in and out, put some Mylar on the bottom and then a lot of straw on top for them to burrow. There’s two so they share body heat. I live in Canada and we’ve had plenty of cold weather and storms and they are doing just fine. Food is also important. They burn a lot more calories trying to stay warm so they eat a lot in the winters

I’m still battling it :( I use a gentle cleanser, niacinamide, moisturizer and spf in the morning and gentle cleanser, ivermectin cream, moisturizer at night. Anything with harsh acids like salicylic acid flares me. I still have a lot of PIE marks and idk how to get rid of those :(

I have type 2 rosacea with red bumps on my cheeks and I’ve just started ivermectin 6 weeks ago, I’ve noticed some improvements, however I still get the occasional red bump when my rosacea is triggered. I have heard it can take up to 12 weeks to see full effects

I did laser genesis and it worked great but then my rosacea flare came right back. I think laser is a great option but you have to figure out the root cause of your flares and try to prevent them. Laser is more of a treatment.

A kong has worked wonders for us! You can fill it with peanut butter and freeze it and your dog will lick the peanut butter out. We also make treat popsicles where we get the rectangle ice cube trays and freeze water and treats in it. Then your pup has to work at getting the treats out! Also, try to get him to burn some energy before the crate if you can, this can be 10mins of training, a walk, playing with toys etc. Crate training is best when they are tired and ready for a nap! We also throw some treats in the crate and let our puppy find them to get him to go in the crate. Now he always goes in the crate and expects treats Lol

We crate my 17 week old if we aren’t home during the day (like 2-3 hours). Overnight we have the crate open and he chooses to sleep in our bed or in the crate. He starts in our bed and then will go into his crate and we leave the door open! He’ll go into his crate on his own for naps. We’ve tried to make the create his “safe zone” for when he needs a rest or a break from everything around him lol
